Need some advice, please. I want to make a WW2 style British RAF flying officer with a sheepskin flying jacket.

Going to use an Roc Cobra Commander for the legs and a 25th (or similar) Duke for the shirt and waist. The Indiana Jones figures are too short, otherwise I would have modified the jacket and sleeves.

Can anyone think of a Joe figure that has a removable jacket that could be modified into this? \need a figure with chunky sleeves as well. I did consider the Winter Combat Captain America, but it has a huge hood as part of the mold. Can be open or closed, preferably open. Can always cut down something if it is too long.

Thanks for any input.

Already thought about Hawk. Jacket is far too short, wrong style, fastened too far up and sleeves not bulky enough. I have the jacket from teh comic pack cover girl. Far too small and the wrong shape, if you get my meaning. ;-)

What about General Flagg (the younger)?

That is probably the closest thing you might find.

I'd like to keep it new sculpt for the height. Think I might use a POTF Ponda Baba jacket like I used once before. Been through YoJoe, but can't seem to find anything suitable.

I am now thinking a complete frankenjoe of:

Torso: 25th Duke with sculpted collar and tie
Arms: RoC Destro
Legs: RoC Cobra Commander
Jacket: Either sculpted in green stuff or POTF Ponda Baba

Either Killuminati (and those photos of the real things do look a lot like a soft goods jacket on a small scale figure) or just sculpt the whole thing out of Fixit Sculpt. I just don't think you're going to find parts that will give you the look you want.

My WIP Greyryder V3 uses a ROC Stormshadow torso, with a sculpted collar and a new inner collar to mimic a jacket I actually own. I decided I wanted the jacket open, so I gound the front of it down, and sculpted it open with Apoxie Sculpt. Having just started working with the Fixit Sculpt, I much prefer the way it cures.

Many thanks for all the suggestions. Got some parts through the mail this week and Franken-Joed it down to this:

Image

Head: Matt Tracker
Torso/Waist: 25th Duke
Arms: RoC Destro
Legs: RoC Cobra Commander

Not exactly. That is the Luftwaffe version. Thanks for the suggestion, though. Ironically I just ordered a German Wermacht officer from the same seller a couple of hours ago. Going to convert him to Luftwaffe.

was actually going to suggest that heavy duty vest. and those Destro arms are perfect.

The other idea I had - in retrospect probably too small - was Star Wars Talon Kardde's coat.

I have the Talon Kaarde vest. It is a bit small, unfortunately as the SW bodies are smaller than Joes.

Actually, I only thought of the Heavy Duty vest by accident. I found it while I was going through a box of fodder looking for something else.
