For these figures with no screw in back and the waist is connected like the 93 vega, whats the best way to get them apart?

I use an exacto knife and cut them at the seams. You should be able to start at the bottom of the torso where the pegs for the waist are.

I've had luck splitting figures like Dice or TJ Bang, by scoring the seam from armpit to belt on both sides, and then twisting the figure in the opposite direction. The internal stops can be enough to pop the torso appart.
