I had an idea for a custom and was looking for a vest similar to the one the Wal-Mart Monkeywrench comes with.

I have one of these and I could probably paint it after sanding the pouches down, but is there one that already in a navy blue-ish color?

That looks like the 25th Gung Ho vest.

I think the closest you're going to get to blue for that vest is Gung-Ho.

This may not be the exact style\color that you are looking for but there are also the blue vests that came on the ROC figures like Breaker.

Shockwave wad a blue vest, but it's closed in the front, so you'd have to slice it open and glue the clasp on the side closed.

Maybe you could use the Resolute Cobra Trooper Vest. Again you would have to cut the front open.

The vest is for a civilian type character. Not so much a heavy vest, but part of an employee uniform.

What about a cast of hawk's vest from the pit? Then paint it blue. I think raginspoon has some.

Blue vinyl tape, and some Goo Gone. Just need a little superglue for the seams. Look up some vest patterns online, to get a rough idea of how the pieces should be shaped. Easy enough to do mockups out of paper, if you're still not sure. It should give you a nice thin vest, similar to what a lot of retail places dress their employees in.

If it ain't broke, take it apart and lose some of the pieces. Then, it'll be a custom.

One of the POTC figures had a blue vest, that wasn't in the typical "piratey" fashion. It looks like an opened, normal buttoned blue vest.
