I know a lot of you have used her in customs and had some questions about her. I've only used one MU figure before, and had a problem with the painting.

Previously, I used MU Johnny Storm and tried painting the blue with Testors acrylic OD green. The results weren't that great, and I later got rid of the section I used due to paint rubs.

With She Hulk, I was thinking of using her arms, which I will be painting a slightly darker shade of green, her ankles, which I'm thinking will be an issue, as they are white and I need them to be black, and her neck, which is currently green and I need it to go brown.

So, what brand of paints work best on MU plastic? Should I try to dye first (I've never dyed before)? Should I try some sanding?

For me, I took a tip from drbindy and used permanent markers in the desired color first. This helped 100% with stubborn plastics or colors that would break through the top coat. Depending on the version (single or comic pack) Shulkie is all green from head to toe(comic pack) when all the paint is stripped away. Even the joints. I noticed that the single pack Shulkie is actually a darker green than the comic pack. I was wanting to use her for a Marilith custom, since she has three arms, but with two comic packs and one single pack, the colors were too different.

Since her torso is a softer plastic, I was hoping to drill and boil and pop the additional four arms into the torso, since her back has some space and room from arms to just above the waist. But to pull off a Marilith, I will need to get another comic pack to keep the arms the same.

The acetone dip and wipe seems to really prepare the surface for painting.

I have great success with model masters paint on MU figures.
If you prefer, you can even use the enamels on the harder plastics, and then get the same color in acrylic for the softer plastics. Though I generally just use the acrylics only.

I live by this, anytime I apply paint to anything.
