Welcome!

There are a lot of different answers for these questions, I'm sure a lot of people will chime in.

For #4, I prefer green stuff. I've tried putty and some other stuff, but green stuff seems to me to be the easiest to work with.

1: Opinions vary. I like Model Master's acryl line, but it's far from chip proof.

2: I like to do washes with water soluble oil paints. It can be wiped back, until I like the way it looks, or I can clear coat it and give it another layer.

3: Solid colors with little to no drybrushing or washes.

4: Fixit Sculpt or Apoxie Sculpt, from Aves Studio. I've used Green Stuff in the past, but I prefer the Aves products.

4. Aves FixIt is the only answer possible here.

1. I use pretty much any paint (exception is Tamiya, which I just don't care for, other than the clear colors). My go-to paint is Citadel by Games Workshop.

2. multiple thin coats for the base color, followed by washes and dry-brushing, depending on the look you want.

3. See above, but without the washes or dry-brushing

4. Aves Fix-it for sure.

I use them, but only for blacks, gold, and silver. No other colors seem to be worth a damn. I use the ones you can buy at Hobby Lobby, Michael's, and even Wal-Mart.
