What's the bottom of the vertical wheel I-beam, the bottom of the MD itself, or the rim of the wheel?

I show the length of the fender at 8mm, from under the fender to the chassis bottom is 5mm.

Millimeters, yo. It's how Hasbro actually measured their stuff, and they're dead-on at 5 & 8mm each, so no need for converting or fudging to less-precise English.

I don't use metric much, but millimeters are super small aren't they? Do you mean centimeters?

Your values are a bit off AV.
5mm is approx .2 inches and 8mm is about .32 inches.
I think you meant centimeters.
So 8cm is approximately 3.15" and 5cm is 1.97"
