Well, I believe I can join the club now. I know there have been threads about this, but I couldn't find them quickly enough and it's getting late over here. This happened a couple of days ago. Normally I'm very cautious using a chisel, but somehow my "safety attention" slipped a little. Result: Attachment: It happened when I tried to decapitate a MU Hulk, stupidly holding it in one hand and the chisel in the other. I did manage to decapitate it, but the chisel also slipped about 1/3 inch into my hand. I knew right away it was not an ordinary wound as I was able to look "inside". Immedately started to move and feel my thumb and fingers to check the agility and feeling. Luckily everything seemed to work like normal, though the wound was bleeding pretty bad. Bandaged it very tightly and went to my doctor who stitched it once as you can see. It still hurts a bit today, but I'm glad I didn't seem to have any serious damage..... (knock, knock) Two Custom Celebration projects were interrupted by this. Oh well, that's just too bad. I'll get them done eventually. |

That's a doozy. I haven't had any lacerations that couldn't be fixed with super glue......yet.....knock on wood. |

You are now an official customizer! You are never trully a customizer until you have injured yourself atleast once, I almost lost an eye working on a project. |

Maybe we should have a Purple Hearts award during the JCA for the most gruesome injury? I have had some bad ones in the past. |

Nice.Attachment: JC purple heart.jpg I would like to see either a bandaid or a glue bottle for the vertical part. Not sure a face is the right look. Maybe a small bandaid or glue bottle in the > or < sections? |

Nice.Attachment: JC purple heart.jpg We really need the like button back. And keep tabs on the injuries throughout the year, and the winner by random drawing can get a first aid kit. |

Pour some blue acrylic and tattoo ink in it. What, did you want to live out your life without any scars? Just looking at my best scar now - 6 years later and I remember the scar but not the custom that gave it to me. Sad, kind of. - R |

Same here Raps. Permanently bugger'd the canine that day. 18 stitches, and proved that the entire first part of the digit cannot regenerate the fingerprints if the trauma is too severe. Got numbness from the tip of my left thumb to about three quarters of an inch in, then hypersensitivity from that part to the end of the back of the palm. Can't hold anything with my thumb at all, so I have been training it to use just the four fingers. All because of a stupid D&D Dire Weasel miniature I was trying to debase. Cutting it properly too, away from myself. Just had a stupid involuntary muscle spasm and whooosh. Xacto went in and around full bore. At least in the ER on the stretcher I learned that if I ever lose my legs, I can walk perfectly fine with my butt. When he scraped out the subcutaneous fat and injected right into the flesh, my ass was trying to do a 10k sprint for the door. Never debase a Dire Weasel. Not ever. |
