I plan on building a "toyed out*" version of the Fallout 4 verti-bird. * Meaning- i'm not making an exact model or something true-scale. Something that will hold a few figures and looks decent on display. I was actually inspired by noticing this imaginext vehicle at the store- It seemed the right kind of shape and size I was looking for. For the propellers I'm thinking the Black Dragon. (which I'm kicking myself for not picking up at TRU months and months back when they still had them.) Anyone have any alternate parts I should look into? It's been a long time since I've done a vehicle build beyond modding a car or motorcycle custom. (I built a EU Star Wars E-wing 15 years ago now). Any advice on materials- glue, filler, paint, etc. |

That looks like it will be cool. I like to use 5 minute set epoxy. And rough up the two surfaces well. |

The Vertibird is a project I've thought of tackling several times. What I've mainly considered is a chopped up NAC or CCC (if you gut the electronics and molded seats, it has a ton of cargo room) grafted onto this weird lego-adjacent toy from a few years back called Galidor or something for the front section. The Black Dragon propellers would be too small for that, but I was planning on finding some of those little personal fans to use instead. If this is what you're set on, though, I have a Black Dragon I'm not using. |

I've never actually seen a Black Dragon out of the box in person-- are they way undersized? Would they work with larger propellers blades? |

I was looking at the Imaginext chopper at the store last night and it was bit smaller than I remembered. I think I may actually use the Lanard/Total Soldier Flying Fortress copter as the starting point. |
