In my attempt to modernize the Cold War era Joes we all know and love, I tried on some modern (and not-so-modern) tactical vests on them. Or what the wife calls "playing dress-up with my dolls."

These are Hiya(Tieka) Toys' not-so-current body armor on some of the original team.

Here are best buddies Duke and Roadblock with some Joy Toy tactical vests.

I bought a few Joy Toy vests to specifically use on Spirit. Unfortunately, they don't look that good on either figure.

This was a surprise. Jungle Duke looks good in a Metal Gear Solid Snake/CoD Black Ops Frank Woods kind of way.

Some Marines with the heavier Joy Toy vest with groin protector. Maybe I'll paint the vest tan.

Random figure I pulled out.

Same as Spirit, I thought it would look good. Maybe it would look better on the 50th figure?

The webgear taken from jungle Duke goes on Recodo.

I had a girlfriend who referred to customizing as "dolly dress-up."

Really love the ones on the marines.
