I caught a Military Channel show on the USS Abraham Lincoln the other day, and was struck with how crewmen are color-coded as to their job duties.

For instance, LSOs are in white, taxi crew are yellow, mechanics brown, etc.

This got me to thinking. Right now, I have about 8 v1 mold Cutters (from both the WHALE and the NLC) with swapped heads to serve as Flagg deck crew, and a couple Shipwreck with swapped heads to be bridge crew. What LBC formulae might be cheap / easy to gather up for tehse specialties, using RAH parts (so the crew all retains a similar look. Also, using RAH vs my new sculpt Joes will help separate the Joes visibly from the background extras.)

As of right now, I'm not looking to dye figures.

Uniforms were as follows:
taxi /elevator crew: yellow turtleneck, yellow PFD, BDU pants, helm and ear protection that looks a lot like the Naboo soldier helm. Airtight top, maybe, with chap mei medic vest over the rebreather?
LSOs: White turtleneck or button-down shirt, white PFD, sunglasses, service dress pants. (These are Ensigns and Lieutenants): Might go with Cutters and Shippys for these. Or Chap Mei medics?
Mechanics: brown turtleneck, brown PFD, BDU pants, Naboo helm.

Thanks for any suggestions in advance.

I'm sure one of the Wonder Twins, Chad or Matt made some customs of the Carrier deck crew.

Here's the linky :

I would've like to see a dio of that Carrier Deck crew on someone's USS Flagg launching Skystrikers, Conquest jets and maybe some F-18's from another toy line. That would be sweet.

I've started picking up Skidmark figs because they look to me like they's work on a carrier deck, esp with the headgear, and the bright colors.

Ya know, if somebody had the umption to cast some Shipwreck, I mean, generic sailor torsos and other parts they might make a fortune off all those that wanna make some USS Flagg or USS Jane crew...

Skid Mark is a good choice...I think Backblasts work well too.

I did the Shipwreck thing, I actually just kept his head on about 5 beat up ones and used a dremel and razor blade to alter him. Had to get a bit creative with the facial paint but all in all I like them.

I also have a few Topsides and they are perfect candidates for quick headswaps.

I figure the Flagg crew doesn't have to fit into regular navy parameters since most of the Joe team doesn't. So just have fun and mix and match a crew you'd be happy with.
