Some quick notes..
- Inspired by Black Hawk Down the movie and novel by Mark Bowden (aka Day of the Rangers)
- Displayed last weekend June 13-14 at the SM Megamall (Philippines) in celebration of the 8th Philippine Toys, Hobbies, and Collectibles Convention 2009.
- Brought to you by the same team that came up with Operation Shock and Awe, Operation Killzone, Operation Forced Entry...the Philippines only local 3 3/4 (1:18) Joe online community..Toysoldiers118
- This diorama changes display every three hours. It is the first of its kind in the Philippines for action figures (regardless of scale). We dubbed it as a "dynamic modular diorama" or DMD.
- Took 3 months of preparation and actual dio-work to complete (figures/structures/vehicles). Mostly done on weekends only.
- Collabo done by at least 10-14 members (builders, pledgers/financiers, consultants, etc.)

Countless hours of dio fun!

It is just so amazing. Well done.

How great it is, is reflected by all the people in the background, they all seem to be frozen in awe, overwhelmed by the display.

How many different brands do you have working seamlessly together? It is a great to see all the different 1:18 scale figures and vehicles together.

I think what I like about your guys displays is that it is alive. Everything gets changed throughout the show so people aren't board by it. Most people put something big and complicated up so it takes a lot of walk by's to take it all in. You goes do it differently and I really like how it turns out. Yet that shoot out seen has so much stuff going on from building remnants to tire fires to the car with the X on it. Fantastic.

Mr Arashikage
Thank you for your kind words. We used BBi, PTE, FOV, MU, 25A Joes and ARAHs, some IJs for the Somali customs, and even Chap Mei and True Heroes. It took us 3 months of planning and checking which items would look good together without overshadowing the other brands, and we at TS118 are very happy to hear that you appreciate the blending of brands that led to the final diorama look. :)

More shots of the shoot out scene and the actual Black Hawk Down crash site coming right up big homie. :) Thank you for the positive vibe. ;-)

This also wouldn't be a BHD Dio without the stars..

Specialist John "Grimsey" Grimes
Sergeant First Class Norm "Hoot" Gibson, Delta Force operator
Staff Sergeant Matt Eversmann, U.S. Army Ranger

Very nice set up. My only critique, and this is down right petty, is the LAV-25s. (Sorry, I'm just one of those kinds of guys) But, I've yet to come across a 1:18 scale Fox NBC vehicle used at the end of the movie. Since the vehicles are similar looking, I'll look past it.

But just this once:)

For Grimes they could have used an Episode One Obi-Wan and for Hooten, I'm sure somewhere out there is a figure of David Banner from The First Hulk movie.

Great display

i guess you didn't notice the faces.. and since i made them i wanted them to be near the movie versions of them..so with the 3 Grimes, Hoot and Eversmann - or namely Ewan McGregor, Eric Bana and Josh Hartnett.. with the three actors only Josh Hartnett doesnt have a figure yet in the 1:18 scale right?? so let me post some pics of Hoot

Eric Bana head is from

Eversmann
