I normal don't preoder stuff, but I made an exception this time since I am so very excited about this set of figures (As well as the proposed second set).

I was going to pre-order one from Mezco, but $8.25 to ship one figure by UPS ground??? No way. Their own shipping calculator spit out 4.25, then when I went to checkout, it says 6.75 plus 1.50 handling. That has to be the worst shipping calculator I've seen - even worse than eBay's lousy estimator.

So, I'm thinking about ordering the exclusive but I also saw the pre-order for the whole darn set. What's the difference between the two?

The box set comes with Red, Johann, Liz, and the big albino gorilla. The SDCC exclusive is only the Red fig which has the cigar in his mouth - which I'd think wouldn't be able to be sold thru brick stores (assuming Mezco is gonna try to have these there).

Yeah I'm kind of torn on it. I want the figures, and I'd go ahead and order the set too, but Mezco has figures on Amazon and I can get free shipping there. These aren't listed, but I'm assuming they will be. But if I wait and they don't show up there, I wonder if they'll make enough. I would think they would, but you can't ever tell anymore.
