Devil's Due is bringing us "The CORPS!" comics. I for one think this is a great idea. Personally I enjoyed DDP's run on the Joe comics overall. Sure there were some things that didn't sit well with me but for the most part I enjoyed it. Now at least, with "The CORPS!" there won't be all that continuity/Larry Hama could do better/DDP is killing Joe crap that would have come to anyone doing the Joe book. Since for the most part "The CORPS!" has no backstory they are free to create something new and unique and try things that don't "destroy my childhood" since there's nothing to compare it to.

I can't wait to talk to Mikey O and the DDP guys at SDCC about this. Honestly I'm more excited about this book than IDW's Joe plans.

Now let the inevitable DDP bashing begin...

and to kick it off...

This is the perfect book for a company that can't draw characters the way people expect them to look: using a company that's made knockoff grade figures that most people wouldn't know who they were by looking at them.

;-)

I'm looking forward to this. I enjoyed DD's Joe books, so I know they can do something decent with Corps brand. With no existing storyline DD has to follow, this should be a interesting series.

I think that is Harlett (Harlot) and Squall Eclipse :whistling:

Rounding out the first thirteen original members will include: Dove, Grasp, Stellar, Grant, Flush, Magnificent Blast, Reel & Spin, Zip, Long-Weld, Pursuer, and Maneuver-Spots.

Maybe, just maybe, we'll get to see Sorbet Trooper, Small Toss, and Enormous Scrapper.

Hm, this seems interesting.
Although I am quite puzzled as to why they aren't using existing characters. I would've liked to see them use Hammer, Dragon Han, Whipsaw and Whispering Willie in some capacity.

Wow, this has the potential to be a new favorite for me.

I just hope Devil's Due does a better job with this than they did with GI Joe.

I'm amazed though that they'd do this.

What I can't help but wonder is what this might mean for Lanard.

Do they go back to business as usual or do they try to revamp the line to go along with this comic series?

(I wouldn't mind a return of the O-ring here at least)

I would love for them to do that! Those were the better figures than what they have now.

Ummm can they do that? Ravage is a well known Transformer name. :shifty:
Vulture is somewhat similar to Night Vulture. :nightvulture:

I'm actually going to buy the first few issues. Not expecting anything great, but it may be fun. The potential is there, that's for sure.

Well crap! I'll buy that for sure! I had just mentioned not long ago that someone should pick this up as a comic. I think Devils Due can probably do a good job with it.
