Okay, so I've had any number of people telling me that ROSS, not a place I have tended to associate with toys, actually has a decent toy department, so I finally checked out the one closest to me.

All right -- it's not something I'd want to rely on for anything current or consistent. I was reminded of Tuesday Morning or a really scattered Big Lots, but it was interesting.

And I did find something that I didn't even know existed. A G.I.JOE SIGMA SIX SNAKE-EYES NINJA PARATROOPER!

A friend of mine said he saw them at Wal-Mart some time ago, but I never did. This was obviously a "sequel" of sorts to the Paratrooper Duke from a while back, except this was Snake-Eyes, and a fairly distinctively-colored one as well. What I thought was especially neat was that he not only had the Sigma Six logo, but also the Arashikage Ninja Clan insignia, above the "6"

Also had the parachute, obviously, as well as a comic book and a DVD!

Same sort of box as Duke. Got the whole works for ten bucks.

And apologies to anyone else who's interested, but I only saw the one. However, you might want to check YOUR local Ross store.

Ross has kinda become the last bastion of S6 stuff. Look around town - most of the Ross's have the "Urban" Heavy Duty and Snake Eyes Mech. Occasionally, you'll find something different - the 22nd/Harrison Ross had Crossbow Stormie once. Other areas seem to get better assortments.

The last time i was at my local Ross's, wich was a month ago, they had the SW R2-KT, some VOTC figs for $5.00, a Fantastic 4 Fantasticar for $7.00 some G.I.Joe Sigma 6 figs, but the rest of the toy dept. had useless stuff, coloring books and things of the like, i might have to check mine again soon, along with TJ Maxx, they had some toys there to.

There's also a Snake Eyes with a quad cycle that's been showing up at stores like Ross, TJ Max, and Marshals. I'd love to find one myself, as it comes with a sweet all-black Snake Eyes and the quad has a camouflage deco that would look sweet with Recondo, me thinks.

TJ MAXX! Thank you! I knew there was another store that had toys that I hadn't really considered before, and that was it!

I think we have a couple of those in Tucson. Don't think we have Marshals.

I actually saw an original S6 Heavy Duty at Ross, too. And I think it was the one with the first set of weapon canisters, before they changed them.

The TJMaxx near where I work still has some S6 stuff and I think they have the Snake-Eyes Quad.

I will check it out tomorrow and report back with prices and what's what.

I saw no Quads at this Ross. I did see a couple of the Cobra Legions sets. Gotta admit, it's kinda cool to set off the sound effects and listen to part of the Cobra theme from the movie... :-)
