Sorry for the wordy background here. I'll have more tidbits about the EXCAL organization in future bios.

The Widowmaker
In her previous life she was known in some circles as the Black Widow.
Back then, Mia Logan was simply a young woman living in Southeast Asia
with her father (a government agent) and fiance (his protégé). Always a premier
athlete and gymnast, Mia took very quickly to the martial arts, and having few
friends in her adopted home, spent all of her time honing her skills. When the
Chinese mafia took obvious exception with the actions of her father and her fiance
in an attempted take-down a certain crimelord (later identified as Xixor the Khan)
the result was the bloody murder of Mia's father and fiance which she witnessed
first hand (Xixor's gang did not know Mia was watching from a neighbor's home
as the agents arrived home and were slaughtered).

Mia immediately went underground, having correctly suspected that the
complete extermination of her family's presence was sought, and that her omission
from the slayings would not go unnoticed. Temporarily re-locating to Japan,
Mia completed and enhanced her martial arts training, and adopted a pseudo
identity as the Black Widow. Secretly returning to the village
of her previous home, Mia, as the Black Widow, began to exact revenge for
the death of her father and of her future husband by identifying and assassinating
every important figure within the ranks of Xixor's gang - in order - successfully
exterminating every one but Xixor himself. Her exploits became famous throughout
China and SE Asia, as the "Black Widow" moniker and the death of her crime
organization victims became the fodder of news services on a daily basis.
Police organizations made efforts to track down the vigilante activities, but since
the victims were exclusively members of a menacing crime lord's operation,
the efforts were half-hearted at best.

Mia's campaign up the ranks stopped short of Xixor himself, as she had a change
of heart at the very moment when her blade could have easily finished a death stroke.
Xixor covers the scar this unfinished blow left by now wearing a mask, and he lives in
fear that the Black Widow will return to finish his fate, even as he rebuilds his
organization into an international crime syndicate, and searches in earnest for
TBW's true identidy so that he may exterminate the threat she poses.

After her change of heart - deciding she had too much unlawful blood on her
own hands (was she any different than her targets?) Mia re-channeled her skills
into more appropriate ventures, and was a target of the CIA, NSA, FBI, and other
more secretive international organizations. Ultimately, the secretive government-backed,
and Bruce Wayne/Oliver Queen funded EXCAL organization won her services.

She has adopted the code name of The Widowmaker, as an homage to her past
life, so that she remembers that each death she inflicts causes the potential for loss
of other unintended victims. She wields deadly power, with her martial arts skills
and the double draw shotguns which she has more recently become renowned for.
Mia is a high ranking agent within the EXCAL organization, and is serving as
a Paladin Knight - In Training (the Paladin Knight program being the jewel of EXCAL),
under the tutelage of Knighthawk, one of the most prominent Paladin Knights in the service.

That is one great looking lady there. This figure is right up my alley. The backstory/bio is equally as good.

Thanks for commenting. I know it's not the most complex custom, and everyone on here has a Lady Jaye/liz Swan combo custom. I mainly posted it because I had her back story fairly well devloped. I didn't post pics without the beret because they were too dark, but this beret was also sculpted by me and removable.

On a side note, I just purchased a photo box, as referenced in the general customizing section, so hopefully I'll have better quality pics going forward.

This backstory gave a few clues as to some of the existing fictional characters I'm working on, and I'll set up EXCAL better when I post my next original character.

Oh, and it doesn't surprise me if this lady is up your alley - while I had the core figure constructed prior, I added the metallic green armor on the forearms after seeing your great end of days customs. Did you ever post a part 2 of that by the way? I remember seeing the Roadblock preview, but nothing since.

Again, great work on her. Hope to see more comments.

The semi-metallic "drizzle" on the fabric portions works nicely.

Just a simple update with slightly better pics. Sorry to post so many on here guys, but I've got a year's worth of customs, and just recently got my camera working right.

Thanks Tim - I appreciate all your comments for all the customs I've posted.

And GIJoey - sorry I missed your post before. Thanks, I'm glad you like her. She is actually one of the first two custom figures I ever tried, so there are some rough around the edges spots, but I have tried to keep her updated whenever I've improved on a skill. I know the Liz Swan head is standard fare, but I still like it on her, even if not an overly original parts choice. I felt like I improved the overall look 100% when I went from normal LJ lower arms to the clone trooper armored arms.

Not bumping this again, but adding updated pics (9/22/08) to show off her new face...
