After getting some suggestions from several Joe Boards its seemed that alot of people wanted to see a Coast Guard Killer Whale. Instead of doing the boring naval Coast Guard theme of all white with a Orange Stripe I decided to mix it up a little. I really like the look of the Coast Guard Jayhawk Helicopter so I thought I would use that as a basis for the paint scheme on the whale since it gives the whale a little more color to it and helps break up some of the plain white color. As far as modifications go the only thing I really changed was eliminating the missile boxes since most Coast Guard boats don't carry that kind of Ordinance. So I replaced the missile box arms with an antenna on one side and radar mount on the other to give it a more coast guard feel to it. Since it is a Coast Guard boat I tried to keep the sticker to a minimum on this one so it would have a nice look to it. I decided to and the Joe Sticker in the front just to show its part of G.I. Joe but other than that I tried to stay away from normal Joe Stickers for it. I had so much fun doing this Coast Guard customs that I think I'm going to do a couple of more to go along with the whale. I've had a Blackhawk stored away for almost 2 years now that I think is going to get a nice coast guard paint job. Enjoy the pics and feel free to leaves comments or criticism.

That is a thing of beauty,man! :-D

Totally agree with replacing the missiles with comms gear. The cannon and mgs should be able to deal with bad guys. The USCG is under-recognized for the tremendous job they do.This is an excellent tribute!

Very nice. I wasn't sure about it when you described it in the other thread, but now that I see it, it's fantastic. I also love the radar kibble that you put on.

As for critiques, something this epicly cool needs to be expanded on. I think that some sort of Zodiac strapped to the side would be a cool addition.

Also you'll have to do up a Coastie boarding team in the right colors to crew it.

Again, Carn, you never fail to impress. It looks flawless.

I thought it was great when you created a whole new subteam with your Tiger Shark Force color scheme, which also looks spectacular. But here, you've got a lot more than a subteam, its an entire arm of our military. I know you were thinking of doing a helicopter next, and I can't wait to see it. I'm with Dan in that it would be great to see other vehicles like a Devifish, Skyhawk, maybe even a TTBP.

You should take a few more pics of the Whale with Comic pack Shippy and Cutter when he comes out.

Good work! Possible a way to add some 'Umpf!' to it would be to drill some RAH backpack sized holes in its sides, and add some Action Sailor type backpacks to the side, some coils of rope and a few Zanzibar pikes and maybe even find a way to work in a Night Landing somewhere, or a kayak...

Since a few people have asked for it on several boards I thought I would go ahead and take a pic of all my Whale do date. Keep in mind there are still 2 more coming so i will have to update the pic after the next whale is done. Ive also had a few questions about the stickers I used. I got the actual Coast Guard Symbol off of ebay in a sticker sheet I bought. After getting them I trimmed around the edge until so it was just the emblem and no red background. The Coast Guard lettering was just some stickers I printed out at home using a Arial Font Bolded.

Here is the Auction for the Coast Guard Stickers:

And for those just seeing a few for the first time you can always check out them all in my Customs Gallery individually:

And here are a couple pics of all 5 of my Whale so far:

Im actually trying to track down a few of the boats that came with Tracker and the Oars that go with them to put in place of th bike. I'm going to fold them up so they look like they are ready to deploy.

This is the boat im talking about for those not familar:
