That's sweet man. Great Dio too. I love the detail and the snow effects. I saw the top 8, and I like this as much as some of the ones that made it that high.

I'd buy that in a heartbeat. And the Dio you set up is perfect. Also the figures sell the vehicle. This is a winner all-round.

The whole thing is great, but the wiper effect is what really put it over the top...

Great work on this tank. I saw it when you posted it over at Hisstank and I thought for sure your would have made it into the finals. This tank deserved to be there over some of the other ones I saw posted. I really like the wiper effects and the snow build up on it. Nice work, you should be proud of that custom.

It's the little details you added to this that make it truly outstanding. And your photography skills really showcase those details.

I'd also buy one.

holy crap. this is THE best arctic conversion i've seen. well done.

the only thing i would critique (and i barely feel worthy to do so) is about the stickers.

the tank is so well-detailed and textured, but the stickers are kind of just 'sitting on top'
and a little too shiny against the rest of the vehicle.

i'm not sure what you could have done, but possibly using decals vs. stickers, and then laying on a final
weathering layer on top of them.

i would still buy this in a heartbeat -- it's the perfect vehicle to build a dio set around for those new arctic 25th army builders coming out.

You are so right. I'm not a fan of stickers... but the contest rules said you had to have a custom number, so I put them on just for the pictures. The paint job is so textured that they are INDEED just sitting on top. I was planning on taking them off. My idea is that the snow would be covering the numbers anyway.

Thanks for the comments... I had a lot of great competition on this contest and all of the other Tanks in the contest were fantastic. They really raised the bar for the next contest.

I agree the work done over there for this contest was crazy good. Some really cool ideas. Carn's was awesome, and I really liked the one converted to a radio controlled HISS. Last I was there, Bull-Dozing Hiss was in the lead, but I also like the Water Moccasin-Hiss hybrid vehicle.

Fantastic details! The added snow on the tank is great.

Agreed. The wiper ice effect and the snow build up along with all the other additiosn and detailing look really good. This is more of a diorama piece than a typical custom job. That is probably why it got overlooked. Let me tell you, that HISS is fantastic. You'll have to let us know how you created the wiper and campoy look.

This is truly fantastic! Agreed, about the stickers, but I have no better idea how you could have handled those. The details are exceptional and the texture gives it a great feel. Your dio showcases your work beautifully!

i really like the canopy snow effects, and the pack out is good too.

But i really like having some armament on there with actual ammo feeds. the OG hiss suffers from magic cannon syndrome.

I am not sure i like the textured paint on the tank main body, it gives a good effect, but more like a concrete bunker effect then a steel tank effect. Other then that though, it's a great custom.

welcome to JC btw.
