Got my new TRU SRO packs earlier this week and, while I was pretty thrilled with a lot of what was in them, I saw some room for improvement as well.

First up was Cutter. The head was horrible. I wanted a real baseball cap and a face that was distinguishable from Gung Ho/Leatherneck. So I went to work on him.

Next was the Iron Grenadier Officer. I'd heard his purple coloration was an homage to Voltar and thought I'd try and take that tribute a bit further by actuallyu turning him into a reimagined Voltar.

And, finally, the custom I've known I was going to do since I saw those first images of the Naval pack.
I never cared for Deep Six in the streamlined deep dive suit, which the figure in this pack was clearly trying to emulate. I also never cared for Wet Suit's bright color scheme, but I knew I wanted a 25th version of that character. So I made the conversion.

Wet Suit's kind of a work in progress at present, until I can get my hands on a Para-Viper and steal its helmet and swim fins. Also need to find another Torpedo backpack.

What do you guys think?

You've sold me on turning that Destro into a Voltar. I have a hard time seeing Voltar without some sort of eyecover or piece, though.

What lower legs are those on Wet-suit?

I do like that mix of parts for Wet-suit too. I may do something similar with mine.

Cutter is better. A lot better.

Voltar makes sense. I agree with rAptor that he needs something over his eye. Not an eye patch but some sort of aiming/mic combo coming form his ear would help a lot.

West suit is really good. Like I wish they make him that way good.

All look great! What head did you use for your wet-suit?

Winners all across the board. I'd buy every one of those!

Nice! Although, I think Cutter's head is a bit too large or his cheeks are too round.
For Wet-Suit I suggest stealing the Eels equipment when they come out. Heck Hasbro may be already considering that! 8-O

Thanks for the kind words, guys.

Before I respond to specific questions, here's a little something I whipped up just for Raptor and pluv...

You guys were definitely right, he needed a little something to cement that he was Voltar. So I made the alternate head (wanted to keep one clean of gear for dio purposes).

As for whose lower legs those are on Wet Suit, they came off the Cobra Hostile Environment Trooper from the desert 7-pack. They're actually quite different from CG legs. I'm not sure if I've seen them on another figure before the desert set. And the knees came off the 5-pack Gung Ho.

That Wet Suit head is from one of the Imperial Knights in a Star Wars Legacy 2-pack.

I may go with that Eel helmet and gear. Guess I'll have to see how tough it is to come by an extra. I am planning on painting the helmet and backpack yellow/orange as a tribute to the original.

That Cutter head is actually the same one that came on SRO Cutter. I just thinned out the cheeks and jaw a bit (you should've seen how big/round his face was before) and swapped out his hat.

Thanks again for the feedback on these (I think I got some solid ideas from it). This remains one of the most inspirational places I visit every day.

First off these are all FOW. My only question is, Is that Deep Six or Wetsuit?
You started off calling him Deep Six but then changed it to Wetsuit.
Either way he looks completely awesome. And the added touches to Voltar? Perfect!

It's Wet Suit, made from the three pack Deep Six. Deep Six being Torpedo with some of Ace's gear. Confused yet? ;)
