This idea has been banging around in my head for a while. A friend of mine made a MASSIVE Cobra BRV out of a Rolling Thunder, and while that was nice and well done, it wasn't the direction I wanted to go with it. At one point, I had a combination General body with a Devastator front, sporting a FLAGG crane, and while that had potential, it just huge, and just screamed "giant target" to me. Another customizer made a sweet Tank transport for Action Force Z force out of some European flatbad that looked cool, so i've been looking for something to mimic that idea.

When I found the Chap Mei Missile Transport at TRU, I had what I needed.

I went back and forth on the color scheme for a while. At first, I figured basic black, but that is so hard to photograph, and it doesn't fit the Techno-Vipers. I considered a 2-tone purple mixed with black striping, to mimic the Technos uniform, but decided to kill that when I realized how bad a giant lavendar flatbed would look. I went with a Tamiya German Grey because it wasn't something I'd seen on a HISS tank, and it wasn't outside the realm of possibility for the Technos.

Combining the Chap Mei Tractor and the HISS was difficult, but not impossible, it was mostly a bit messy due to grinding away large parts of the chassis and then styrening over them. I covered up the seams as best I could, and I'm pretty happy with how it came out.

WOW! I love this setup!! Very nice work! You do some killer stuff. I love the wheeled HISS, you pulled it off perfectly. And I like how the damaged HISS is actually missing the track on one side, looks very real.

Much rule-age was had by this vehicle. Love the wheeled HISS as well. The damaged one deserves to be its own submission.

If they had that base vehicle at my TRU I would buy it in a heartbeat. I have it bookmarked at the Toys R' Us website but the shipping is a deterrent. It looks fantastic - and the grey does work very well with the Techno Vipers

I really like everything about this custom. All three vehicles are very well down and look cool. It is like Cobra's answer to the road toad. Awesome job.

It is very, very cool, and I'm glad that someone has finally customized that rocket hauler. The only thing I would have done differently is that I would have used a HISS II body for the tractor, as the HISS I looks a bit puny to be pulling that huge rig. But that's just me. Great job!

By the way, how did you do the spider-web break effect on the windshield of the damaged HISS? Is it a decal or did you actually get it to break that perfectly?

I like this alot, I'd add a matching ASP to the lineup for a lil' more added gun support to the BRAT

If I were doing it, I'd dremel in the main hit or hole, then draw a few lines with an exacto and then spiderweb them with said exacto, :)

What I want to know is how you got the transition from hiss to tractor so smooth, that is top notch.

Another top notch custom there Kevin. The front end from the Bomb Disposal thingy is a great touch and you did an awesome job intigrating the Hiss body over the top of the Missile Trucks chasie and wheels.

I think this is a great idea and a fine example of mixing function with fun.

The only suggestion I could make is a minor one. If you plan on having Techno-Vipers crew it -and why wouldn't you?- maybe add a touch of purple here and there to blend them in. Like a thin purple stripe along the side.

I had a similar thought, or since this a customs site, how about making some technos that are primarily grey with maybe purple highlights, :)

I can see them having slightly different uniforms fro being on the field.

In my verse, we have a nok that picks up all the junk on the battlefield, lol.
