Bindy, your original story-line is just superb. Excellence, as it were. I have been following, and finding it increasingly entertaining as it develops before us.
I know next to nothing about these particular characters, but great work on the figures, for certain.
Brother, you seem to possess a very real knack at bringing new revitalization to older, often forgotten characters-- with your own interesting embellishments. I also love the way you introduced him within the context of the story, as though we are all playing right along. In effect, that is what you allow us to do, and it is most enjoyable.
It’s always a pleasure with your posts, Bin, and a thrill.
Thanks man - this is sincerely appreciated. I'm especially appreciated that you like it even without knowing much about the original characters. To me the originals are what make these interesting as much as anything.

Dennis, those are extremely cool. I hadn't even thought of JQ in a Joe Universe. Your takes are loyal to the original concepts, but still very creative and recognizable as new tasks. Parts lists, please!?
Brad
Thanks Brad. The body for JQ is actually the one that was going to be the casual civilian body for my Civvy Knighthawk. Something about the way it was shaping up, whether the light colored jeans, or the belt that kind of rides up high on the waist made me less keen on using it as a KH look, but it really started to speak to me in terms of JQ. Then when I got some extra heads in trade from Carn, wham it came together. I had been struggling with the right combo for a young Jonny, when this version had been staring me in the face the whole time.
Anyway, partsfor Jonny:
Head - Platoon head. Honestly not sure if it's Depp or Sheen, but I think Depp.
Torso - Upper = Snake Eyes v1, black
Torso - Lower = Torpedo
Arms - Upper = Ninja Ku
Arms - Lower = TF Flint
Legs - Upper = Cobra Commander
Legs - Knee joint = Cobra Commander
Legs - Lower = Shipwreck
As I've been trying to do with most of my customs lately (when possible) the joints are all the same color as the final paint job, so there is virtually no paint wear, and the fig is very playable. This is about as much a Frankensteined figure as I've made, and I'm pretty happy with the result.
For Dr. Quest:
Head - Red Star, modified
Torso and Arms - Jet Pack Duke (The arms being lighter than most, again for the paint run minimalization.
I couldn't decide between going with the rolled-up sleeve look, or swapping out the lower arms of the "coat" like I did on the Monk Mayfair custom, but I think this works here. Once I decided to make him a video wristwatch, I was glad I did so.
Legs - Cobra Commander
Coat - Golden Compass
