How do you use these folks in your Joe-verse?

How many Masters are there?

Steve

Snake-eyes and Storm Shadow are the current masters. The Clan is rather small with about 20 members including all known ninja force and gijoe ninjas.

The red ninjas are an offshoot and they are now larger than the main clan. Other cobra ninjas are not part of the actual clan.

there are two right now.
There is the Hard Master (comic pack upcoming)
and the Blind Mistress/Jinx
The blind Mistress has a daughter who is an apprentice as of now.

I don't use them at all, other than being the incidental clan that produced Storm Shadow. I never got into all the ninja-fication and tying everyone back into that, so my universe has a COMPLETELY different background for Snake Eyes and Jinx.

I don't use them. I'll acknowledge that Storm Shadow and Snake Eyes came from the same clan, but that's about as far as I go. I prefer Jinx not to have been trained elsewhere.

The spirit of the clan solely lives through Storm Shadow and Snake Eyes. It was decimated when the Arashikage house was burned down a few years ago by Firefly.

The red ninja are from a rival clan and are descendants of the Koga ninjas.

I use the new Hard Master figure as some kind of monk since his feature are rather young.

I guess as the only Saturday Morning Kiing Fu Theater junkie, i am the odd ball on this.

My verse has Silent Master (mute adopted by family and trained to be a ninja) as a different man than Snake Eyes (military member trained in all forms of silent warefare).

I also have the Arashikage Clan as a much more prominent Japanese family. I currently have about 6 masters, but only 1 Arashikage Clan Master (the eldest of the main family line).

The Red Ninjas are a perverse off shoot of the clan that sold the art to the Yakooza and others. That includes Sei Tin and others.

Masters - Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow, Firefly

Storm Shadow runs a new academy and introduced an ethics class for the clan. Thsi is of course funded by the Hard Master's wife.

Snake Eyes usually takes on one apprentice to train at a time in a Jedi/Padawan kind of way.

Firefly, just like the comic, is an actual Master. He would never help either SS or SE, but for some reason he feels an attachment to the clan. So he won't let anyone harm the new academy either.

Jinx, Budo, Ninja Force, Scarlett, Billy, Zartan, Kamakura, etc. They're all considered full fledged members of the clan.

The Arashikage became the Red Ninjas after the Hard Master died.

The Arashikage Clan was being brought back. The 6 Red Ninja survivors from Master & Apprentice II are now known as The Arashikage Deciples and Storm Shadow is now known as the Phoenix Master of the clan.

Having not read the entirety of the Marvel run and gotten sick of the DDP run when the Red Shadows came onboard; I'm rather free of official Arashikage lore. Also, having the Joeverse being a small sliver of my larger bash-verse means the Arashikage are but one of many ninja & other assorted martial arts schools out there.

I've not put a whole lot of thought into it, but I think that with the upcoming MU Hand Ninja fig that I'll be having a Red Hand ninja clan where the Red and Hand clans are the same thing. This will set up some interesting ties between the Arashikage and DareDevil, I think. Perhaps Jinx was originally Elektra's pupil? Perhaps Kyodai Ken is Tommy Arashikage's older brother that had to change his last name after being expelled from both the school and family in shame?

Really there isn't much more to the clan besides they produced SE and SS, after that they kind of fell apart with the death of the Hard master.
