I've always wanted to see a C-130 for the Joes. A true 1:18 scale version would be way too big, but if it were done with that Hasbro skewed scale to make the wingspan smaller, I think it would be a great large vehicle playset. It could have the features of an AC-130U Gunship to give it ground attack capabilities, and it could also carry one or two vehicles.
That Hasbro "skewed scale" isn't skewed. It's that G.I. Joe's are 3 3/4's scale, not 1:18
That's not really what I meant by skewed scale. I probably shouldn't have referenced 1:18 in relation to this. What I'm really talking about is how Hasbro will have the cockpit of a plane in one scale to fit the figures, and then the rest of the vehicle in a smaller scale, to keep the vehicle size from being really big. Its something that becomes obvious when you look at a Dragonfly helicopter compared to a 1:18 21st Century Toys Huey Cobra. The Cobra is way bigger than the Dragonfly, so much so that, to me, its less playable as a toy. However, the cockpits that hold the figures are roughly similar size. Lots of other Hasbro vehicles are like this, even the Skystriker.
