Just like the title says, anybody know a good place to get resin. I'd prefer resin that I can add pigment, but also regular resin too. I'm looking to get it by the gallon or more for as low a price as possible.

Casting resin? If so, try www.alumilite.com. I know they offer their resins in gallons and it can be colored. They even offer dye that works with their resin. Not sure how the prices compare to other places (like Smooth-on) but resin in itself is going to be pricey. It's oil-based and we know how oil prices have been the last year.

Yeah alumilite is running around $110.00 for 2 gal. and smoothon is running around $78 for 1 gal. I'm wondering about this place though:

I can't tell if that's resin for hardening fiberglass only or if it's casting resin. If it's for casting, they might be the cheapest. They do have some good prices on RTV molding material though.

I got a thing for my dad and need lots of resin. He does these crucifix statues that he hand makes the wooden cross and I cast the Jesus figure to go on it. He was just doing a few giving away, but people are asking to buy them more and more so he's having to up production a little. The figure it's self is like 8" or 9" tall.

Most of that stuff looks like fiberglass type resin. You'd need a separate catalyst for it. The Silmar Clear (2nd from the bottom) is probably the closest to the hobby resin we use for casting. But again, it looks like it's primarily fiberglass repair stuff. I'd stick with the hobby resin like Smooth-on and Alumilite. It's a known product and you'll know what you're getting.
