Personal Communication:
From: Lance "Clutch" Steinberg
To: Conrad "Duke" Hauser

"Glad to hear you're finally making good on your promise to give those idiots pretending to be the government the boot. We'll be waiting for you right where we discussed. Just remember, this isn't the Joe team; out here, I call the shots. I am going to need your help with something, though. It's Grand Slam. I know, I thought he was dead, too. But then we found him wandering around out in the wasteland, still with a beat up old JUMP on his back. I swear, the thing has to be held together with duct tape. The problem is, the guy ain't right. I think it's just the weight of everything that's happened. The guy was always kind of quiet and withdrawn anyway...I think everything hit him harder than it did us. That and the day after we found him, we got the news that Short Fuze had been executed in DC. 'Slam and I were both on the "Original Thirteen." I don't expect you to understand, but it was a real brotherhood. Now there's only four of us left, and last we heard, Stalker was still a prisoner somewhere back east. Anyway, it's all worn pretty heavy on Grand Slam's mind...that and the time he spent alone in the wilderness. He's not suicidal, and he's flat-out insane. We go into combat, and the guy get airborne on that busted up JUMP of his and starts flying around like a ballistic missile. Effective? Sure. The Cobras don't know what the hell to do when he comes flying at them. Unfortunately, neither do our guys. We usually end up having to scramble just to stay out of his way. Unfortunately, we're not really in a position where we can pull a soldier off the field because of psychological trauma, but we definitely need to keep an eye on him."

Flame-base: Hotglue with parts of SHS stands for support

Okay, I'll admit, this custom was born out of my desire to attempt to make a hot-glue jetpack flame stand. And I'm pretty happy with how it turned out (both the custom and the stand). It took a ton of glue to make the flames...like four and a half sticks. And, unfortunately, I'm now fresh out (I had *just* enough to finish). Once I get a new bag of glue sticks, I'll work on making a tutorial (my Skyduster needs a flame-stand, anyway).

Nice work here. The painting is flawless and very good head choice. The flames are the best part though that put this guy over the top.. Your hotglue work is very impressive as always.

I use to breeze by your write-ups and go straight for the pictures, but now I'm REALLY interested in your Joe-verse.

Your hot-glue base is a very interesting concept and I'd say 90% successful. The exhaust flames look great, but it lacks definition at the bottom. I can't tell you how to improve it, and it looks great as is, really, but I get the feeling it could use something more to sell the bottom half.

I've only read a few of the write-ups so far, but you're doing a great job of making this world some place very sad but exciting. It's Days Without End with teeth. I love it.

Pretty cool looking figure and really sets him apart from Flash. Love the bio making him basically Ramjet and a nutjob!

I think you need to change the head. Not that it doesn't look good but your bio gives him a sort of death wish kind of character that the face doesn't match. Maybe somethign with a small smirk or jsut a little bit off in the eyes would work better.

The flames look great. and the overall look of this custom is superb.

I agree on the bottom half of the flames, the white in there throws it off for me, maybe paint the bottom white with some grays that look like clouds or smoke, then slowly blend them into the flame parts. Kinda like when the Space Shuttle takes off, you see a lot of smoke, and the flames only under the rocket parts.
