Valkyrie: Cobra Commanders head of Security.

This custom was something that popped into my head when I went to see Valkyrie, Tom Cruise was just enough of a "badass" in the movie to inspire the use of this Flint head I had hanging around. It was one of the earlier Flints and he had some damage and pot marks around his eye. I proceeded to fill them in and then went from there. The shoulder pad is from a clone trooper and the strap from Dusty's harness(spytroops). I also did a foot swap with Zartan cause the boots seemed more fitting. In turn I got use out of the screwed up Flint noggin I had as well as using up a CC body that had been laying around. Wish I could have gotten some better pictures but lighting wasn't the best. I still need to do a few touch ups to the shoulder pad and eye patch but for the most part he is finished.

Valkyrie is the good Commanders head of Security. Sporting a grab much like the Commander not only to give a distinguished look but to enable him to switch places should the Commander need to make a quick get away. Loyal and true to the cause of Cobra Valkyrie has given his all for Cobra and has lost a lot of himself as well. Standing always vigilant and ready to protect the Commander at any cost.

Nice custom however his codename is just a little off. I was expecting a female character. :whistling:

Honestly I think the custom works beautifully just as it is, name and all. (ever since I saw the movie "Valkyrie" IMO, the word doesn't even have a female connotation to me anymore at all.)

anyways, man, I really really dig that custom: the story, the recipe, his purpose inside of Cobra. I haven't ever considered a job title like that work inside of Cobra before but it's a damn good idea. In fact, man, I might have to consider making one of my own.... is that cool if I do?

knock yourself out man lol, its only a custom. As for the name, I actually chose it because of the movie not the history. At first I pretty much had the same thing running in my head telling me "Shouldn't this be a chick" but I don't do well with female customs and this is what I ended up with.

I gotta echo that the name really seems out of place, even considering the film's title.

Valkyrie are female. Feminine? They're what, basically warrior angels who escort the dead from battle, so no... not exactly feminine, but they are all female. My understanding is that the film is named after a specific operation/plan, not an individual.

Also, given the nature of this character's role, which I agree is a great idea, seems like something like "Gemini" would be more appropriate.

The concept and figure, however, are just about perfect.

works for me, I'm just happy you didn't make it a tom cruise homage, :)

The mods are nice, good character, my only issue is, he could use something else to make him not look like he dug around in CC's hamper :rotfl:

Thanks for all the comments guys.

Liz, I agree with you but I just couldn't find anything else that looked right. Tried a holdster on the leg and it just didn't seem to fit given how skinny the legs were, I thought about painting the entire custom grey but I really liked the blue/black/red that it had going on. I wanted a pair of CG lower legs to match up with it but I have yet to run across one to customize.

I will echo the CC's hamper thing, but I like him overall, nice idea too.

The name doesn't get me as bad, I thought female too but when I saw it I thought of the movie so it works.

I like it...the head is great! And given his story...well, CC's hamper kinda makes sense, wouldn't ya think?
