Now that we know which classic characters are slated for 25th treatment and which didn't make the pre-movie (cough "end of the line!" cough) cut, I decided to go ahead and make custom versions of all the characters I wish we'd gotten. I've already knocked out Frostbite and Low Light (which I'm sure you can find somewhere on the site), so I moved deeper on the bench with these.

Here's my take on Footloose:

And my interpretation of Iceberg:

The latter is actually somewhat of a WIP, as I'd like to darken up the hair some.

What do you guys think overall, though?

Actually, that Breaker/Crankcase head is probably big enough for the original Footloose helmet to sit on well, and I think it's really push the custom over the top. Not sold on his webgear, but I can't think of a better option that wouldn't be scratchbuilt, so it's cool.

Iceberg definitely needs darker hair, and I gotta say I prefer the toothpaste green of the original figure, it just looked like it'd blend in better in a tundra. Solid work and parts choice on him too. Lots of inspiration in case the movie figures really do mark the end of classic designs in the 25th format.

I really like them both, but gotta agree that FL needs the leaves on his helmet.
I wish I would have thought of trying Hypnos idea when I made mine.

Thanks for the comments, guys.

The head on Footloose actually isn't Breaker/Crankcase. It's a Fred head with a sculpted stache. But I think I can find a way to get leaves on the helmet.

His web gear is Red Star's with a knife grafted on. I tried a couple others, but this really seemed truest to the spirit of the original.

On Iceberg, definitely planning to darken the hair, but I think I'm going to stick with the arctic blue on the vest. That toothpaste green from the original was what kept me from buying him back in the day.

;)

Thanks again for looking and taking the time to comment.

They both look great. I especially like the attention to detail on FL.

I like them both, but their heads seem small on them :-/

If you have a DTC Footloose head, it would be perfect and for Iceberg, Target has a head from that Bravo line of military figs, other than that i think you did very well on them.

It isn't as bad on Footloose. Once you add leaves on the helmet and make it a little taller no one will notice.

But on Frostbite it messes up his proportions with long arms and massive feet. Even if you justify his bulk to cold weather gear, he still looks like he'd be anorexic without it on. A bigger head would make him look stockier. Oh, and I hate that lime green on the original too. If you could work in the mask from the Battle Corps version that would be nifty cool too.

Thanks, guys.

I'll have to check out that Bravo team head for Iceberg.

for acharacter I don't care to much for your Footloose looks cool and makes me want to copy for the most part. Iceburg looks pretty cool too but still needs so work to look better.

Not really digging that head for Footloose. I think the SW Tattooine Biggs would be better. But otherwise a very solid custom.

I've been wanting to put Iceberg in the queue for a while now but haven't found the right inspiration. This just might be what I needed to see. I like it.
