A quick look at ebay shows the same thing as Amazon.

All of the T-700's listed were black (like Amazon and TRU.com).

The T-R.I.P.'s (Resistance Infiltration Prototype) on ebay, were all silver. I am assuming that this is the one TRU is calling a T-800.

So I wonder if you found some error packing. I hope that is the case, and they aren't making color variations of both figures.

Picked up a T-Rip at K-mart. P-lay M-ates A-rticulation seems D-ated compared to H-asbro's.
T-Rip can't T-urn his N-eck.

Saw the Terminator vehicle (Hunter/Killer?) with the T-700 at Target today. Big pass. While not as big a disappointment as the ST figures (found those on the same shelf), I wasn't impressed in the least with the figure, or the size of the ship. If it were larger, maybe - but not worth the $$$ to me.

The heads are just pop on. It'll require work to make them work with Star Wars or G.I.Joe

Actually it's just Barnes that has the old style pegged neck, both Marcus (regular, don't have Battle Damaged Marcus) and John "We couldn't use Bale's likeness so here's a generic guy in glasses and a bandana" Connor have Joe/SW/MU style ball joints. They are a bit bigger than 25th Joes though, so to use them on Joe bodies you'll need to fill them in a bit. Not as big a socket as most SW figures though.

The heads are just resting on the necks in this pic, they won't hold a pose or stay on unaltered.

The sculpting on the line is okay, but the articulation choices are confusing. I don't see myself getting any more of these than I already have unless seeing some of the HKs and such in person really impresses me.

Hmm, I guess I need to open those figures then. I figured that since they had the one figure like that they'd have them all like that. Crazy that they did such a wide range of figure construction in a single line.

Now this is what TRU.com has listed as a T-800:

But this is from an Amazon listing, for a "T-800":

Now I'm really worried about exactly what the _____ I have orders for...

I'm going to say don't be. They have made packaging errors in the larger scale too. One was a John Connor figure in the 12" scale, but had T-800 as the packaging. Or something similar. I took a few camera phone pics but didn't want to be one of those "OMFG ERROR VARIANT RARE KTHNKX!" type of ebay auctioners.

Well it is Playmates trying to a 3 3/4" action figure line. I wouldn't be surprised if they have several batches that might be mislabeled. I can shoot a picture over the weekend if you wanna see since I didn't open the black Terminator. The bodies are the same on this silver one, the black one, and the one with the HK. That probably isn't movie accurate, but toy companies like to cut corners as we all know.

Is there a Connor figure coming out that looks like him? I thought I saw a picture of one coming out at a toy fair or something. Couldn't they just do a Batman and make a generic face instead of a mask?

It looks like other Terminator figures/vehicles are coming out in May, at least by the looks of toyrocket.com. They show the Harvester and some others with no images right now.

Some interesting things listed on there, that I had not heard about previously.

Skynet Playset
Helicopter Vehicle
Tow Truck Vehicle

And not only do they have the 3" T-700 and 3" T-R.I.P. listed but they have 2 different 3" T-800's listed too. They aren't due til May, and since one specifically says "Black T-800" I'm assuming the other will be silver. It will be interesting to see if they are a new sculpt or not. Like J_Man said, all of the Endoskeletons currently out (T-700, T-R.I.P., and HK T-700) are all the same mold.

Can't wait to see the Deluxe Harvester Vehicle too. I'm not really excited about the Bio-Flesh Regenerator they have listed, because the one put out in the 90's was (IMHO) lame as hell. Maybe this one will surprise me though and be really cool.

I finally found some of these figures yesterday. I definitely wouldn't say they are perfect, but I'm digging them quite a bit. I picked up a couple T-R.I.P.'s (all of them I saw were silver), and a 6" T-1.
I had to stop myself from grabbing a Hunter Killer, as I already have some on order.
I did notice that there were no A-10's or 10" Endoskeletons on the shelves. I'm not really interested in these, but my oldest son was looking, because he wanted to see the 10" Endoskeletons.

Overall I am pretty pleased with this line, and I am interested to see what else they put out for it. Plus after paying $8-$10 for Marvel and Wolverine figures, it's kind of nice to $6.99 for these figures.

I am pretty sure now that I have the right thing (what I want) on order. The only thing I am a little worried about now, is that if TRU uses the barcodes to ID which items to ship, I may end up with some black T-700's in T-R.I.P. packages.

The T-R.I.P. and T-700 are NOT the same mold, the T-R.I.P. is shorter and slimmer than the T-700's.

I got T-RIP from KMart. I wanted to get the Resistance fighters (Barnes and masked-Bale) but after seeing the Star Trek figures and realiizing these are also from Playmates, I decided to just get a Terminator. The only other Terminator they had was the T-700 (the black one) and it didn't look like the iron bar he was holding was removable (is it?) Besides, the endoskeletons I know are silver so I got T-RIP instead.

I was surprised at the lack of articulation on this figure. No joint at the head/neck! And nothing at the lower legs/feet too! although the arm articulation is impressive, rotating pegs hidden in a very thin robotic hydraulic sculpt.

Thanks for the comparison shot.

It looks like they may use the same legs and arms, but the T-700 has a slightly longer and wider torso. Which explains why the arms on the T-R.I.P. look a little too long.

The arms are actually pretty easy to fix, too. I fixed the 5, that I have on hand right now, in only about a half hour.
Cut off the hands, trimmed about a quarter of an inch off the forearm, drilled small holes in the wrist and forearm, snipped and inserted lengths of a paperclip, and voila! Fixed Terminators. :-D

EDIT: fixed typo..

My TRU got these in, and I have to say- they're not half bad. It seems that 2008-2009 have been the years of the 3.75" fan with all these companies scaling down their figures. We're no longer limited to Joe, Star Wars, and the occasional random line.

I picked up a bunch of Terminator figures today- got 'em for $6.69 each at TRU. I'll get some pics later. All in all they're not the greatest figures ever made, but worth picking up, IMO.

Edit: Added pics.
