I'm on travel in Ridgecrest, CA, and went to Walmart to find an Uhura (success!). While there, I saw they had (what few were there) 25th Joes on clearance for $6. Seemed odd, but then I realized this may become more common, as Walmarts make space for other summer movie toys, along with Joe movie toys. So, it might pay to start watching Walmarts for red clearance tags.

Pay?! Hardly!
One of my Walmarts still has those Indiana Jones 3 packs on "clearance" at regular price. They also have the same scam on numerous other items.

There is only one Walmart which has anything interesting here. Not to mention they started out priced $4.88 there. :-/

Went back to the same Walmart today while I had time to kill. Joes were marked down to $5, witch comic packs marked down to $10. I was actually surprised at how much of their toys were clearanced from the other day - SW A-wing at CW Animated STAP battlepack for $10, the big animated TF figures for $34 etc.

Also, stopped at the Kmart they have here, and there was a lone Copperhead comic pack for $8. Was tempted, but ultimately decided to pass on it.

None of these clearances surprise me. Star Wars has a TV show backing it right now, but probably not enough to justify the space in most stores. It's likely being cleared out to make room for something else, at least temporarily. Transformers and G.I.Joe are going to want to clear out current stock to back their respective movies.

Usual summer doldrums for non-movie-tie-in toys. Nothing specific against this year's crop, but given how few movies pique my interest in ANY given summer season (and as such their concurrent toys), this time of year really sort of annoys me. :-/

Nothing at my Wal mart except some SW Droid Factory 2-packs for $5 each.
Picked up the watto, Luke (X-wing), Darth, and Han (Hoth) packs.

Anybody need Darth, Wattoo, or Head, Arm, and legs for the C3PX BAD?

Also, lots of Hulk (mutating spine abomination) figures on clearance, some for $7, some for $3.
