I like Heroes, which really seems to put me in a minority these days. For awhile it looked like we were getting some 3.75" Heroes figures, but that seems to have fallen through, which pissed me off since I really wanted a Sylar figure. I had high hopes for the new Star Trek Spock figure, but the likeness is awful and the figure is shrimpy. So I decided to make my own. Not a really difficult custom, but I'm happy with how it came out. Sylar's my favorite character, and I don't really have any urge to make more Heroes customs.

Looks great. I too thought about the Spock head, but this one looks great.

The head is a great likeness, but I would have liked to see the coat be short.

Still though, full of win.

Also, I'm watching Heroes as I type this, and Sylar does indeed kick ass.

It's not that the head itself is a great likeness, it's that you painted it to become a great likeness. Awesome. Great eye to see the potential in that head, but even greater skill to make it happen.

As for the coat, the cool thing about that base figure is you can take the coat off and the sleeves still match the shirt, so he can look normal with the coat or without. You can also paint any other short coat to match, and have all sorts of options. The only trouble with that torso is that it's so big, it's hard to find a jacket that doesn't scream fat guy in a little coat.

Anyway, great job Darko

I'm in total agreement here. You saw the potential and had the skill to make it happen. I love the tilted "I'm going to cut your head open" pose you gave him too.

Wow - I thought for a second you had modded a Spock head, but then I realized that Spock's head is super-tiny and doesn't look anything like Sylar.

Couldn't believe it was a Thrawn head even after looking at my own Thrawn in-hand. Absolutely great mods on that :D

That is an amazing likeness. Excellent work. I'm really surprised how the WO make such great fodder. Hope to catch them on clearance or on sale in the future. So...any plans for the rest of the Heroes gang?

Thanks for the feedback, everyone. I decided to keep him with the trench coat because I didn't care for any of the pea-coat (which is what he wears on the show) length options I had on hand. I considered trimming this one down, but in my experience, long coats/capes end up looking really crappy when you trim them down.

The only one I can really see making is maybe the super badass version of Hiro from the alternate future. The rest just don't have unique or intriguing enough looks to make customs of.

The Sam Elliott Golden Compass Duster is the only one I've been able to trim down and have it look good still, probably because it is so symmetrical, and not wavy in any way.
