I don't know how much this box cost to manufacture, but since it looks pretty simple in comparison to the SDCC exclusive and past MC sets I'm going to guess it is less then either of those.

You'd guess right. Functional, yet still decent looking. That's what we were after. I think we pulled it off well.

And, I would like to mention..... we didn't increase the cost of the set because of the box.

We "ate it" so to speak. So if you wanted a box, or you didn't - it would of still cost you $125.00.

But it already has OMFGawzumKTHNKX gold foil on it.

Which does look awesome in its simplicity and not overdoing it. ;)

So bigger question is, when can the Canadian con guys put on a convention in the U.S.?

When you get Tim Hortons available on every corner of every streert.

'Cause in Canada... that's almost true - in Hamilton it IS true.

In Hamilton, you can stand on the edge of the Tim Horton's parking lot, look down the street and see the sign for the NEXT Tim Horton's.

True Story.

At the last Canadian Joe Meet, I went to pick up Timbits. We cleaned out one Tim Horton's, so we walked to the other end of the parking lot where a gas station had another Tim Horton's built into it. Total distance between Tim Hortons: 30 feet, max.
