Before there was Mindbender, there was this guy.

I basically wanted him to look like a Cobra Officer in a lab coat. Had the head and hands picked out for more than a year. Wasn't until I found a cheap ROC Storm Shadow that I knew how I was going to pull off the coat.

What do you guys think?

Simple but quite effective.

The head is an obvious choice. But it works.

Outstanding custom! Very clean and no crits! Consider stolen lol!

very smooth. And a really great take on him, rather than just a simple lab coat look. I would never have thought to use that figure (not that I have one yet) in that way, but it's perfect. And it's a 100% playable lab coat which is win (all mine are painted in the dreaded white).

Now...tell us more about finding these "cheap" ROC figures...where might one go for such a mysterious thing, if they really do exist? lol Everything I see, mostly on the bay, requires paying through the nose.

That so works. I would not mind seeing a few more with different heads as generic lab lackeys. Good stuff.

I knew that Storm Shadow would work as a lab coat! Thanks for proving my hunch. Whose lower arms are those?

I'd say Ace's.

Very well done.

I like this look for him a lot. It still has the lab coat feel, but now with a military twist to it. I might have painted the belt and holster grey just to change it up from Storm Shadow some more but its ok as is too.

Thanks for the kind words, all.

Really glad you dig it.

The lower arms are, indeed, comic pack Ace's with a hand mixed blend of spray enamels brushed over for color match.

The coat itself required some modding around the collar, both for aesthetics and to accomodate the wider Tarkin neck, which I hot glued into a hole I dremeled where Stormy's neck had been.

The boots were actually transplanted from a Star Wars figure onto the Cobra Trooper's lower legs using a similar technique.

I think I will throw some paint on that belt. Good suggestion, there.

Thanks again for the looks and the comments. I appreciate both.

Very nicely done. I have been waiting to see a really good 25th Dr. Venom, no disappointments here at all. I especially like the small Cobra symbol, is that a decal or was it on the SS torso?

That was already on the torso, so one less detail I had to see to.

Glad you liked this one.

You posted this on the 14th? Where the hell has it been hiding?
I love it, parts and paints are flawless looks just like the good doctor.
Hasbro could not do better. Not that they even have the imagination to do one.
