I got a few more today. I wanted the Moto-Terminator the most. It's pretty cool - it's got a sweet AA that transforms it into a ridable bike, plus firing missiles. The John Conner figure is ploppy though. He's got ball hips but they don't really work well (just well enough to sit on the bike). He's a fat little bastard as well. The T-600 is HUGE! It almost looks like the bigger figure! I got the T-1 as well. ;-)

Got Marcus and Connor today.
They feel like knockoffs.

Like I said in a previous post, Connor will be used as a generic terrorist in a display.

Figures have been around here for a while but I didn't see anything interesting except John Connor's gun (not worth the 10$ though). If the head is compatible with 25th Joes I may yet pick it up.

However, the two vehicles just showed up at Toys'r'us here... they are disappointing. Minuscule and really overpriced... The A-10 Thunderbolt was mildly tempting but when I saw the 30$ tag on that teeny thing I threw it right back on the shelf.
Toys'r'us has really sucked at pricing lately...

I think I read that they're SkyNets first attempt at mimicking humans, so they haven't been perfected. Too big and their faces will look like human masks, rather than actual human faces in the movie.

I had read the same thing.
I also read that .

You got those parts to go together quite nicely. Can't wait to see her finished.

Here is a damaged infiltrator that I threw together, with a completely exposed skull. It's just a BD Marcus body with a painted T-700 head.

Also made a final mod to the plasma rifle design, removing the magazine from the XM26 to give it a bit more of a film accurate look.

G4 ran a special on the terminator last week and one of the segments was on the playmate toys. Not much new in information but they did have a harvester for the 3 3/4 line in the background; it was freakin' huge!

I can't believe the A 10 is so out of scale, and at the same price point as the flying HK!
I'm having a hard time finding the T1's; the roleplaying stuff, gloves, voice changer, and makeup sets are shelf warming, we'll see if it picks up next week.
Is the film rated R?

Nope. PG-13.

Which would normally annoy me (that they take an "R" rated series and "tone" it down to a PG-13, ala AvP or Live Free or Die Hard) but honestly, if you remove most of the harsh language from the first 3 films, there really isn't much material left that would make an "R" rating nessecary. Plus now a days you can get away with a lot more harsh language, and still get a PG-13 rating. There just won't be f-bombs in every other sentence. And let's face it, it's not like John Connor was known for his colorful language, such as John McClane.

The Terminator movies were never super graphic with the violence either, such as an Alien or Predator movie. About the worst they did was Arnold removing his damaged eye in the first one. And with that (and the skin removal off his arm in the second one) it was all happening to a robot, not a human. After seeing what they did with TwoFace in The Dark Knight, and still maintained a PG-13 rating, I don't see where anything would really need to toned down in the Terminator series (language aside), to receive a PG-13 rating. It also helps that the director specifically stated that they did not "go for" a PG-13 rating. They just made the movie, and were given the rating.

So I will reserve judgment (no pun intended), until I actaully see the movie, this time.

Man I wanna see the Harvester!

All I can find is that it's 16" tall so it's not horribly underscaled which is nice (Looking at you A-10!).

I'm not 100% certain of the actual size of the flying HK... but it looks very puny as well.

There is a partial glimpse of it here (around the 26-28 second mark)
There are also pretty good looks at it at the 5:15 and 5:36 times, and someone from Playmates talks about it, and shows even more shots of it at the 8:15 time.

Oh yeah, and it appears that TRU.com is having a sale on the Terminator 3-3/4" figures. 2 for $9.98. Best part is, for some reason, the HK is included in this sale!
I just picked up 2 more HK's for $16.93 SHIPPED! :-D

That makes no sense, hehe. I bet they messed up in their system with that one. We may as well profit off it though. I ordered 2 for that same price. Thanks for the heads up!

yeah, thanks for the heads up here too. Now let's see if they honor that deal. lol

I'd buy a lot of things if the price was always 2 for less than the price of one...
