Is there any way to fix a stuck (fused?) Gen3/25th style elbow joint? I've had figures where in the cut for the hinge doesn't go exactly where it's supposed to but instead cuts diagonally and somewhat hinders movement.

But this one is diferent, the entire joint doesn't move. Both the swivel (peg in the upper arm) and the hinge (ring in the forearm) don't move! At first I tried heating it with a blowdryer (usually works for me) but it didn't do anything. I couldn't even pull the peg from the upper arm to try and separate the upper arm from the forearm. These new pegs are much thinner than the Gen2/GvC pegs. Next, I tried carefully running an X-acto blade along the cracks around the ring in the forearm. Again nothing happened. And I was scared of running the blade too deep and cutting the peg in the forearm. I can't think of any other reason why (or where) the joints would get stuck.

Any help would be appreciated.

I never used the hairdryer, but I would think it wouldn't get hot enough for what you need. The best way I could think of to help would be the boiling water. Heat it on the stove or microwave and see if that works. If not, try puting the arm in the water when boiling, which can only been done on the stove and be careful doing that. Those are the only ways I know of to free up a joint. If that doesn't work, the joint must have been glued in some way. I know there are some glues that the boiling water will free up, but a few will not budge. I hope that helps you out.

OK I tried the boiling water method. It was able to free up the upper arm peg so now the lower arm can rotate freely BUT the elbow itself is still stuck. The arm still cannot bend at the elbow :-/

I'm out of options there. What figure is it anyway? Only figure I have know to have this problem is Wrath, but I think it was intentional by Hasbro, so the arm gun hoses wouldn't break. I freed my Wrath arms up with the boiling water. You could try repeating the process, but that is about I'll I have without it being in hand.

the guy who works in the toy shop near me was complaining about a figure with a stuck elbow........ turned out to be major bludd!

Heheh... No it's not Major Bludd. It's actually HoH ninja Snake Eyes. The boiling water only freed up the upper arm swivel.
