Great stuff from top to bottom Dan. I'm really glad to see this project see the light of day, and with all sorts of new surprises as well. Every time you set out to re-do one of your existing customs, you end up with something shockingly better than before. I put Lara C. in that mix. The core team though is all very well thought out, and very well put together. Yeah, the vehicles really amp this up to be sure, but I'm more of a character guy, and I think that is where this really shines.
That you set this all up already with your previous set of pulp era customs, and that you have those awesome playsets already in place really made this a must-do project. The Egyptian tomb set especially looks like a freaking movie set here, and is really inspired. Once you added Imhotep, I was like 'no way' dude. Outstanding.
As for updating Doc to the current era, I think it's brilliant
Honestly, he's cut from the same mold as virtually every hero that followed him, and nobody complains when Batman gets set in the modern era as opposed to being a 40s era detective. So it was clearly time, and it's time that somebody in hollywood get that same message and tell his story right (no offense intended to Ron Ely).
