Nothing too fancy here -just a (semi) quick fix for single-pack Hawk.

I may have mentioned it a time or two, but I HATE berets. They're the stupidest piece of headgear in existence. And remember - I'm speaking as somebody who's forced to wear one every day

So I "LASER BLAST" Quaid's beret and tried to sculpt a decent "do" on him. The big problem were his Dumbo ears - and as such the haircut isn't as trim & tapered as I'd hoped. Still, it works. For now....

With ROC body (cool sculpt but a bit on the small side)

With my standard Custom Hawk body- needs some neck mods to make the head sit right, but has potential.

I might change his hair color based on whatever he looks like in the flick.

I'll tweak him up with more natural hair color and all that jazz later this week - I start my string of 12-hr shifts tomorrow so I won't be seeing the daylight for a while (and I really should be in bed right now because I have to get up at 3:30a

Cheers!

Looks great. I hate that they gave him a beret. Flint, Falcon, Stalker, and even Colton had berets originally, but never Hawk. Stupid. Again, looks great.

I agree. Hawk shouldn't have been saddled with a beret on BOTH his toys. I dig the new hair.

Hopefully Hasbro gives us a beret-free version down the line...

Agree, great custom hair, really like the non-beret versions of the other characters too!

That looks flawless. It looks like the beret sits high enough to get a goods hairline that isn't too low. The hair color looks fine to me.

Not too shabby. Or shaggy. Kind of has a Jack Ryan look to him now.

This is great work. I didn't read the title before I clicked on it; I kept wondering what you did to it. Then I read that you de-bereted it.

Wow.

The head looks great: very smooth work on the hair.

I distinctly remember seeing a news report the day they debuted the berets as part of the uniform, and wondering to myself if soldiers were going to hate them. Now I have my answer!

Who knew Chief had actually missed his calling as a stylist?

That do is fabulous, Chief. Brawlin' even.

Seriously, it's very reminiscent of the wavy do Hawk sported as his v2 figure.

That is pure amazing. Even though I think characters like Flint and Stalker need berets, Hawk doesn't.
