Chuckles

I really don't like this figure. The head and hands are all wrong. And I'm going call them out on the right hip as well.

Here is a comparison of the Hasbro version with my version
Image

Here is my version with the 1987 original figure
Image

The base for my figure was Shipwreck, the same body Chuckles uses. I modified a pair of Storm Shadow forearms since no bare forearms were available yet. The head is a Lord Asriel from the Golden Compass line with a sculpted on spit curl. The Legs are from Duke, the same legs Hasbro used, except I used a Shipwreck upper right leg to give him the proper knife straps. The holster was made from some webgear I had lying about.

I painted his shirt as close to the original figure as possible.

Outback

Outback is just some minor mods. I dremeled out his neck hole to make it sit lower on the neck post, mine looked like a giraffe. I also darkened the hair up, it was too neon. I sliced off one of the flashlight tabs so he could now hold the light and I painted the buckles on his vest.

I think both are well done I remember seeing your chuckles before I just don't like the daniel craig head, I don't think there is anything wrong with the outback fig but I really haven't examined mine much but I do like the darker hair on yours

I went with the Craig head because it looked like Chuckles in the original Marvel Comics run. The new head looks like Annie Skywalker.

I think that the best torso to fix Outback would be the one used for Alpine/Budo Storm Shadow. Some Shippy or Stormy v1 upper arms, and then he would be going in the right direction. I do like that the flashlight is holdable now, though.

Nice work on Chuckles.

Apart from Zap, Outback is the 7 pack fig I have the fewest problems with, but yours certainly improves him. Another neat thing you can do is swap his green vest out for the tan one that came with the Flak cannon Outback. I think the swap improves both figs.

Chuckles is fantastic. Love the leg fix, partcularly, but the whole package is quite impressive.

Outback, while certainly improved from what we got, still doesn't work for me. Not your fault at all. You've made the absolute most of what they gave us. But this sculpt looks like Outback fresh out of a POW camp where he's eaten nothing but dirt and crickets for a month. Outback should be a big guy. Roadblock big. With the scrawny chest and tight-rolled sleeves around the biceps, this guy looks like a beatnik. Valiant effort trying to save him, though.
