I knew I should have gone back to the HTS booth yesterday and grabbed a couple more. They didn't sell out at the con as previous exclusives have so there should be plenty for folks to snag now. I went ahead and got 2 more for custom Twins (Hasbro doesn't have them in the plan thru 2010) and some medieval Destro foot-soldiers. Hopefully they come through. If not I'll try to grab them at the con.

I think Hasbro wised up and produced a crap-ton of their exclusives for this year. I braved SDCC yesterday mainly to get a bunch of those Destros for customs, and after a relatively brief stint in the line (no pre-line line on Sunday morning for whatever reason), they still had plenty of everything. I could see into the stockroom of the Hasbro booth, and there were probably 40 or 50 unopened cases of Destros back there. And that's just what I could see. And to think I was worried they'd already be sold out...

It's the smart move, especially when you consider how elaborate the packaging is for some of these things. Why crank out a small number and let the second-hand market make all the profit when you can recoup your investment in the molds and the packaging set-up by selling more of them? I'm just happy they picked this year to make the exclusives more readily available, because that suited Destro is one of the best things Hasbro's done since the early days of the ARAH line.

I saw Helix and the Pit Commando go up for order Saturday sometime during the day. I played with the numbers and it came up to only 2 Pit Commandos (which I went ahead and ordered) and 5 Helix. Before I could make a post here though Helix was gone. I didn't order any.

Crap, there's another $80 down the "LASER BLAST". I already had a Destro set ordered and in the mail, but for $25, I couldn't pass on a second one.
