They do this kind of thing all the time. They'll lower the price on an item for a limited period of time then as it sells they jack it back up. Its a wierd pricing strategy but it gets product moving.

Bizarre, but it could work on me. I just made two separate orders from Amazon just a couple of days apart. But if I'd known about both at the same time and placed them together, I could've saved a few bucks on shipping. Now I'm tempted to order three sets of these to bypass the shipping. I'd still be getting each figure at about 3.33 per, versus eight dollars plus.

It is the holidays :-)

I did the same, and I was actually disappointed -- those troopers are short, and their guns are fat!

I'm glad I got them at the price I did -- they're not worth $2 a piece, imho - although I already have a custom in mind for their ribbed sweater torsos!
