Ok, I was influenced by Ratfink's recent work
plus I just got done reading about the SAW viper
from the Marvel comics run, Trucial Abyssmia.

I thought, what if Cobra had a whole bunch of the
meanest vipers ever, the guys that actually KILLED
Joe's? Like a Hall-of-Fame Cobra thing. I figured
these guys wouldn't care about camo so much and
would rather instill fear in their victims first.

So, I made the Death Viper: his power axe cuts
through Joe armor like a hot knife through butter,
and his assault rifle ensures that no one escapes
his wrath.

Death Viper is entirely a repaint of a Neo Viper, plus
an axe from a Gundam kit, and a misc rifle from VvV I think.

I dunno, man...

Seeing someone dressed up like La Parka is more likely to instill laughter over fear.

I doubt I would laugh if I saw a skeleton costumed bad guy loaded up with guns walk through the door. If I did laugh, I'm guessing that would be the last sound I made.

I don't know about an army builder type but a named character for this guy would work. The skull and bones looks pretty good on that body too.

I can understand what Jay means, but that's probably because the bad guys from The Karate Kid were dressed like that in one part of the movie.
I do like this custom, but I'm also wondering if it would look this intimidating without the painted bones.
The skull is perfect (Range Vipers eat your heart out)!

this guy is pretty sweet. I think I might have just went with a skull mask and the ribs on the chest.. maybe. then maybe pick out a few other parts to do white kneepads maybe elbows.. hes a kool idea he could be named or even an elite squad of assassin types.. or just fear inducing baddies.. any ways i might paint up a few with this idea for a death squad.. thnks glenn

looks pretty good man. The mask is especially well done. I can see what the others are saying for the rest of the detail. That's a fairly well detailed pelvis for one. I think I can see his urethra... :shifty: kidding aside, pluv has it right, you'd crap yourself if this guy was hunting you down.

Dr. Voodoo Sorcerer Supreme!

I like it... not as an army builder though. It is very La Park/Dr. Voodoo.

La Parka, that is too funny. I remember him from WCW.

This design works.

My only suggestions would be to dirty up the white lines a bit. Maybe add some "splatter" to the edges here and there to make it look like the paint was sprayed or brushed on top of the uniform. Maybe make the bone lines not "line up" 100% as it goes from one surface (cloth) to another (padding).

I like it a lot!.
I don;t like the white "bones" on the boots though, I think solid color boots would have worked.

I almost get a punisher feel, or maybe a clone commando feel to him.
very individualistic.

Thanks all! Great comments.

The good news is that he's from a Neo Viper, and thus
I (probably a lot of us) have more by proxy, what with all
the packs of Neo Vipers in battle station sets, rescue mission, etc.

So... there's ample opportunity for me (us) to make
variations on this.

I agree that right now he looks like more of an individual but
maybe all he needs is a team behind him.

Strait up Viper commando. i left the armour on and painted with the lines.. i cut the shoulder pads down so his arms move more.. might use the clipped parts on the boots..also clipped the butt of the rifle so he can hold it better..

Very cool! Yours has a very "Nightmare before Christmas" look
to the skull, I like it. And am completely flattered.
