Okay, we've already had a live-action G.I.Joe movie, but sometimes it's still fun to speculate which real-life personalities would fit well into certain established characters from the action figure line.

With that in mind, who besides me thinks that WWE/ECW wrestler Ezekiel Jackson would make a pretty much perfect Roadblock?

I think Adam Baldwin (Jayne from Firefly, Casey from Chuck) would make a great Flint.

naw... Ving Rhames has the acting ability, Michael Clark Duncan has the look (and the ability to lift a gun that big)

If he could get ripped like in the Firefly days, I'd have pegged Baldwin more as Major Barrage (not that he'd see the light of day in a movie).

I think Brendan Fraser and his puny arms would make for a great Gung Ho, or a Flint look-alike version of Sgt. Stone... Sorry, j/k

James Caviezel (sp?) looks the part of Flint to me. And I don't follow enough wrestling to know the Roadblock reference, but I'd sure have to think a Wrestler would have a better chance of looking the part than most Hollywood types would.

Maybe Josh Duhamel as Lt. Falcon (he kind of looked the part already in Transformers).

I would've said Michael Clarke Duncan around the time of "Armageddon". I'm not sure he's still young enough to pull it off. Ezekiel Jackson -- if he can act -- strikes me as just about perfect.

I don't think we're ever gonna find an actor that can portray Roadblock.

The only actor I could see playing him would be Terry Crews. http://www.joecustoms.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=21356

I'm coming around on him. He's about the same height as Heavy Duty's actor (whose name I never remember, sadly), he's got the bald head, the facial hair and the body mass, and he could bring a good dose of humor in the role too, given how many comedic roles he's had recently.

Just don't make him rhyme.

I never used to agree with this, because all I ever saw him in were doofy Wayans brothers comedies (oh, look he has a connection to the film already!) and couldn't stand his characters. Then, Nick at Nite added Everybody Hates Chris to their line up and I watch it at 2am every now and then. Ever since someone (probably you?) mentioned it a year ago, him as Roadblock is all I ever see when his character is on.

I think that woman who plays Renee Walker on the show 24 should play Lady Jaye. She kicks @%% on that show. :D

Somewhere on here is my list of actors/actresses I would have wanted to see in a live action GIJOE movie.

Maybe I can remember a few...

GIJOE
Snake-Eyes: Ray Park
Scarlett: Angie Harmon
Lady Jaye: Kari Wuhrer
Cover Girl: Catherine Bell
Roadblock: Terry Crews
Flint: Brad Johnson
Dusty: Barry Pepper
RipCord: Eric Stolz
General Hawk: Tom Beringer
Airborne: Lou Diamond Phillips
Sneak Peek: Oliver Platt

Cobra
Cobra Commander: Gary Oldman
Destro: Laurence Fishbourne (Body), ? (Voice)
Baroness: Elizabeth Hurley
Serpentor: Arnold Vosloo
Zartan: Chrsitopher Lambert
Tomax/Xamot: Roy Dupuis
Ripper: Trevor Goddard
Buzzer: Guy Pierce

I'll have to find my list again...

Duke: Somebody NOT named Channing Tatum. I read a list like this once and the guy suggested Rutger Houer. Maybe back from his Blade Runner days..
Outback: Brett "the Hitman" Hart (think DTC Outback)
Firefly: Jason Statham
Lifeline: Seth Green
Quick Kick: Jet Li
Gung Ho: Steve Austin
Shipwreck: Ryan Reynolds

Kane Kosugi should play Quick Kick, that way there's less wire dependancy compared to Jet Li playing him.
Plus, Jet Li's getting old.

Gung Ho can't be in the movie, though. Name couldn't clear. Maybe Leatherneck can happen, though.

I think that the guy from Burn Notice ( Jeff Donovan) would make a great Flint!

Also Zach galifianakis would be a cool Snow Job Cameo and we know he can Ski/Board (see Out Cold, seriously if you didn't already I loved it in College)

I didn't know that. Right up till I saw the movie for the first time, I was under the impression that Brendon Frasier was Gung Ho. I got that info from IMDB. He said that Gung Ho was sort of a distant relative to Rick McConnell from the Mummy movies. He didn't really have more than just a cameo and he wasn't crucial to the story so he could have been any character. Like Cover Girl.

After watching the "Ballad of G.I.*JOE" I think Olivia Wilde would have been awesome for The Baroness, though I can't fault Sienna Miller, she did look the part.
From the same video, Vinnie Jones would have been awesome for Destro. For one thing he has a more imposing figure than Christopher Ekelson and definately had the more baratone voice that is associated with Destro.
In fact, lose the cartoon uniforms (much as I loved them) and pretty much every actor in that video looks the part.

Leena Headly (Sarah Connor) as Lady Jaye
Amy Smart as Cover Girl after a cut and dye job (Hey ARAH had a blonde Cover Girl who was never seen again and the character returned as a red head. It could happen)
Owen Wilson as Footloose
Henry Rollins, Glen Danzig and Flea as Dreadnoks.
