I think you could stand to paint the cod piece a different color. It kind of throws off the aesthetic of the figure. Also, I would paint the horns.

I agree with Kilcarr. Maybe make it bronze or do the gloss black like the boots. As of now it just draws your eye to it as something that doesn't belong.

Gotta agree on the cod piece, and I think an aged bronze look would be awesome.

Also agree on painting the horns. I would say either black, or just the tips black, fading in to red towards the base of them. Similar to Hellboy's horns. Then again, they might look pretty cool in a realistic ivory color, with a light brown drybrushing, or inking.

Overall I really like it, a lot, and may steal part of the receipe for a new character to put with my Hellboy figures (looks like he could be Hellboy's punk-ass little brother).
What are all of the parts?

Great job!

Tim,

Nice work. I really like the figure, and the staff with that head from Asphalt is great. Really good thinking outside the box on that.

Great job Tim. I recommend painting the cod piece a pig iron color.

agree with all the comments, and it really is a striking figure. I think painting anything that looks plastic to look very gothic will only enhance the final piece. As for the cod piece, it really is a nice accessory to use with him, and it fits perfectly. Do any of the recommended paint options and I think you'll be even happier with this. Agree the staff is a win.

Definitely a cool custom...parts choice is right on, but I think a few tweeks could really put it over the top.

I agree with the previous suggestions to paint the waist armor and horns.

Because the head is sculpted with only one eye...I would fill the empty socket with something...Maybe if you could find a rhinestone or small jewel looking something.

That skull on a staff is a great accessory...I'd just love to see it taken up a notch or two. I'd sculpt some fittings or fixtures that hold the skull to the post...I'm thinking something that looks like eagle talons.

I don't know if it can be done...but it's be sweet to add a LED inside of the skull so it would glow....problem you'll have with that is fitting any batteries...

Yeah, other than the small fixes everyone else mentioned, this guy rocks. I like Nova's idea of putting a jewel or something in the eye socket - I think that would fit the character perfectly.

Totally dig the parts choices here - when I saw your WIP, and noticed that you used the Arctic SS torso, I was inspired - that's a great idea for a shirtless demon, and fully painted it is just too cool for words. Really well done.

If you cannot find a jewel to fit the eye (think children's earrings), another option is to get some super glue and drop it in the hole, then a drop of red paint and then more glue on top. That would give it an orb feel and color.

Or paint it a bright green color like green blood or puss. You could also do the scars the same color or maybe some other bright color.Maybe even dry-brush a dark orange over the red o give it a more dimensional/realistic look.

I'm pretty much on board with the other comments. The eye, cod piece and horns need ......... somemore.
Other than that I like it.
