Everything looks great. The packaging is both nice and bad at the same time. It's well displayed and the figure packs look like the old stuff. Trouble is it doesn't allow for easy opening and putting back int he pack for me. Hehe, yeah I now it isn't meant for that, but the movie stuff worked nice like that and allowed me to only have to buy 1 of each item that I wanted to.

I probably said the same thing when the Pursuit of Cobra stuff popped up at the convention, but I haven't been this excited about Joe stuff since 1990. I really like the look they're going for (even if the heads are way too cartoony for my tastes), and I'll be anxiously awaiting the chance to go into a store and be genuinely thrilled to find new Joe designs and sculpts on the shelves.

Some of the changes they made to the figures are interesting. I wonder if that Storm Shadow has replaced the weird, twin-uzi-ed Jungle version? And I wonder why they moved away from the Cobra Commander mail-in and made him a chase figure instead? I don't care either way, but I was kind of excited for a decent mail-in figure.

August: so far away.

Wow! I'm so glad that that CC I really wanted is a chase figure now! Because chase figures are so awesome and it's so fun wasting gas driving from store to store looking for them only to find nothing! And you can always find them on the secondary market for absolutely non-ludicrous prices! Isn't that right, clear blue Wraith that I'll never, ever own?

Dicks.

I guess we'll see how rare it is, but I doubt I'll even attempt to get that CC. As a mail-away I was all for it, but making it a chase figure drops my interest in it significantly.

In that first video it shows some great dioramas for the 4 different environments....I'd love to see Hasbro post those on their site as background, they look great!

Yeah if I happen to find it or it shows up on HTS, I'll get it. I won't be going out of my way to find it though. This is suppose to be my year to start cutting back!

I think Desert Stormy has replaced the Jungle one. The Jungle used a lot of parts that were originally part of Resolute Storm Shadow, who's getting released, so I can understand them wanting to do something more unique. The guns are now with Desert Snake Eyes, but I do want that webgear to show up down the line. Chase on the CC seems weird. Seems like a few days ago they said that he'd be getting a retail release before the mail order offer, now he's a chase. I wonder if wires got crossed and his retail release will be as a chase but the mail-away will still be happening? I hope so.

I'm not seeing any mention of City Strike Scarlett, Arctic Duke, Jungle Storm Shadow, Desert Heavy Duty or Desert Ripcord in the assortments....

Wondering if these could be the "few last single-carded Joes for ROC" mentionned in the last Q&A, before POC debuts in the fall. I'd sure hate for Hasbro to just outright cancel them. Except Heavy Duty, he's unimpressive.
Fingers crossed, in any case.

Can I just say, I am pretty impressed the AWE Striker and Ghost HAWK are being released at the Alpha price point? I was expecting them at the Bravo price point...

They may also be holding them back to show at the con, or just tomorrow. We don't know that these are the full lineups nor do we know what waves these figures are in.

Fair enough . . .

Oh, and given that Desert Ripcord and Arctic Duke have been tooled, and use a lot of new tooling we'll at least see their parts used somewhere. And either that list is incorrect or the info regarding the chase status of CC is, since it says he's a mail-in there.

Desert HD wasn't anything special, and it makes sense for them to axe Scarlett since the Resolute one will be released. In the end I get the figures I wanted most so I'm cool. So long as Shadow Tracker makes it out anyway . . .

Yeah I was looking forward to Shadow Tracker too, and that Desert Ripcord with the wings. I was even planning on keeping as is, unlike all the other Ripcords which I've opened and immediately taken apart for fodder. I hope they come out in some form or another.

Everything else looks really cool. I'm really liking that new Duke head. I hope we get one without a bandana sometime. And Res. Scarlett looks to be the coolest version of her yet. The customizing potential for all of these looks to be through the roof, which is the most exciting thing of all to me.

But I wanted to use her bodies and buttload of blades for a custom Jinx...

Yeah, Shadow Tracker needs to come out. Training Gear Duke too... I really want to use that body for a custom.

Well I don't know where to start. There are a lot of fantastic looking figures here, and some great new and re released vehicles.

I like the new looks I mostly use figures for fodder these days, but some are great right out of the pack. It is nice seeing all the weapons these guys come with alley viper has his regular helmet, resolute alley helmet, and goggles and a gas mask. That is terrific.

don't care for dusty's mole mask look, but the regular head looks pretty great.

not too thrilled about the snake eyees or the chase CC being chase but over all this all win. They just need to get it out there in a quantity i want it in.

It's the one that was supposed to be a mail away, the ROC version with the new head sculpt and chromed mask and chest plate.
