Well, you're in luck, because it so happens to be a Dreadnok vehicle. :-P

With a Cobra Commander figure? Oh well, hardly a major factor in my decision to get it when it comes out. Thanks. :-D

I still want to see a different paint-scheme on Alley Viper before I go for them. I like the mold, just haven't had a deco yet that's calling to me.

I liked the single-pack Beachhead less when I saw him. He was the one I was most excited about from the earlier promos. The new Snake-Eyes looks good, and the new Cobra Commander -- but, hard to get excited about adding more of these characters, even though I like the figures. Jungle-Viper looks crazy! These are the highlights for me from these two waves, because I'm pretty happy with my 25th versions of the other characters. (Even though some of the gear - like Snow Job's -- is pretty sick.)

The vehicles are pretty good. Have plenty of AWE's and Snow Cats, but they look great. The Ice Cutter and Doom Cycle are both hits with me, and I may pick them up. The other stuff, Rage, HISS -- cool enough, but I will pass.

Biggest hit for me was Resolute. Not crazy about a few of the Cobras: Zartan and SS are show accurate, but I'm not really into the design and CC is sort of unnecessary because of the single pack. But, the Joes all look great, and I'm especially excited about Beachhead, Scarlett and Stalker!!!

The driver isn't a Cobra Commander figure... he's a new Dreadnok called Storm Rider.

Finally got to look through the pics on Justin's site. Wow - I'm gonna save a TON of $$$ on Joes this year. About the only vehicles that appeal to me are the Ghost Hawks (might get a couple) and the new VAMP - but I will probably pass on that since I don't have room anyway. And other than a few random figures (sniper Viper, Raptor/Zartan, etc.) nothing floats my boat in the least.

I'm most disappointed with the Resolute packs. The Joe pack might have some fodder potential, but the Cobra pack looks mighty crappy save for Destro.

Just as well - I will likely spend too much on the new Marvel figs anyway, so it'll even out the toy budget. :-/

High fives n hugs.

I see fodder. Lots and lots of fodder. And I for one am a bit saddened by the changed head sculpts. I WANTED the movie likenesses.

This presumes they will be making more than just one MECH suit which is fine by me. The concept, while not new *coughRobotechcough* is an exciting and interesting one for the Joe universe.

Ah, okay. The Web Site which I used to call up some of these pics indicated that the Cycle came with Cobra Commander (and admittedly, I couldn't quite envision Cobra Commander wearing jeans, but given how different he looked in the movie, who knows?) In any case, I'll definitely be interested in the Cycle!

I think this is referring to the Joe and Cobra repaints of the Sigma6 mech (since you can 'customize' them by swapping their arms).

Yeah, this is what I'm interpreting it as. I hope the arms look good swapped because IMO, the arms on the Joe mech would work better on the Cobra mech, and vice versa.

I liked the movie scults too. Mostly because now we have like five different Duke heads for whatI thought was the same universe. At least the sculpts are good though.

I see tons of fodder as well. This whole line lends itself well to head swaps, which is good since I have extra movie Duke heads. :)

That 4 seater VAMP shall be mine. Oh yes it will :-D

I really want to like that HISS tank, but something about it leaves me cold. I like the the covered cockpit and the working treads, but the rest doesn't cut it. If they could have redone the DTC one with the covered cockpit, working treads, and replaced the missile launchers with cannons, it would have been perfect.

I think I might just use the hiss as an experimental prototype, no need to troop build it.

but that Vamp is tits and I'll probably get three or four.

My top picks for Toyfair 2010:

Firefly we've all previously seen and still looks like a good bet. The outfit makes it look like he's decked out in power armor, which is very cool.

The Alley-Viper I plan on army building in bulk. The sculpt itself was already kick-ass but the colors Hasbro decided to use were spot on perfect. Gray and red, perfect colors for a COBRA trooper and for an urban combat class.

The new Dreadnok I'll probably pick up. Cool design and since Hasbro skimped on the Noks with the 25th/ME line it'll help fill out their ranks a little more (although I'd much rather have had a ME sculpt Zandar, Thrasher, or Zanzibar).

The Rage is another item I'll be army building, that tank is still one of my favorite pieces of COBRA armor, and the colors on this version are even better than the original's.

The new H.I.S.S. VII is an interesting design. I may not buy as many as the Rage but I'll pick up a small number. It's a lot better than version IV at least, and not half-assed like version V.

Last but not least the COBRA Deviant. Great mech, great colors, and a very sharp generic driver/pilot in the form of the new Cyber-Viper. One small problem though - the arm attachments. A grappling hook and battering ram? If Hasbro adds some decent gun/cannon attachments like they did with the original S6 Iron Hammer or decide on scrapping these attachments for some different ones I can see myself getting quite a few of these. Otherwise if they sell the mech as is I'll completely pass on it.

I'll definitely echo your sentiments on the Deviant. The Joes get a gatling missile and a grabber claw on their mech, and the Cobra one just gets that grappling hook and that spring-loaded mace. Not exactly what I'd call balanced.

And yes, the Alley-Viper is truly great. The classic one's body, helmet and weapons... plus the much nicer Resolute version's head, helmet/goggles, and a gas mask. Hopefully Hasbro will keep putting out more army builders with extra gear in the future (and maybe some day, a Viper equivalent of the ultra-geared PIT Commando!).
