I dunno... he looks a bit tubby and not so much with the muscles. I may follow what a few other folks are doing with the Sgt. Slaughter head from the wrestling series figures on the body of the Jow with the chainsaw and Rock and Roll's name.

Well he's based on the real Sarge for a change, who's tubbier than his action figures and cartoon appearances would let on.

why base the joe version on the real version? if you want a real version buy a wrestling figure. The torso is simply lacking detail and fatty. Fail hasbro, Fail.

Crap. I'd want both. I hope they do put them both on HTS.

Have you seen the Build'n'Brawl Slaughter? It looks more like the old Joe figures in its rippedness than it does the real Sarge.
As a fan of the real Sarge who does not care for the cartoon portrayal, I am very happy Hasbro went for a real-world likeness.

I have seen the build n brawl (although not in person) but yeah he is beefy, but it's not joe size. I think they should have made the less beefy more realistic one, and hasbro made the Beefy one. I think they got it backwards.

Uh, yeah it is. The build'n'brawl line is in the same size class as the new Joes.

My wrestling one is a little short compared to 25th and RoC Joes. However I'd rather make a custom from his heroically over toned parts then shell out SDCC money on that pale tub of plastic.

I've seen the real Slaughter up close & he's not the skinny, detailess phail we're getting for SDCC. They figure they coukld save a buck not bothering to sculpt the arms or chest?

Uh - no it's not. Unless Slaughter is really only 5'8":

Image

Joe-ish sized, maybe - but not compatible with Joes. Not without mods like Spin Doctor made.

As for the fig - I'm an unabashed Slaughter hater (he's a Cobra in my verse) but I like the tubby likeness here - I may snag one if it's not too spendy.
