Tough call, especially since Destro is such a frequent (and deserved) target in this, and since a lot of the figures in these particular comic sets were sub-par, but I finally went with Day-Glo Scrap Iron. I don't have quite the problem with bright colors in G.I. Joe that some collectors have, but this wasn't the place for it.

Comes down to
Scrap-Iron- Bright colors, brighter than he appears in the comic book and no new head sculpt (just a filler figure!). Still no original accessories, though, no surprise since his "original" parts were recast.

Cobra Commander (hologram)- Wasted slot (even for a comic with limited character choicies) roadblock V1 arms? Didn't enough figures have those arms already? I think that bugs me more than the limited uses for the figure. Also, these transparent figures feel fragile to me.

Destro- Misinterpreted the comic coloring as Destro wearing white gloves. No attempt to change arms to match the comic appearance (Effort? Who needs it!). New head should've been great, but was as tiny as the previous one. Still has a big space between his left forearm and swivel joint.

Tough call. Destro is the easy pick. Scrap-Iron is an eyesore and a lazy effort, but was only the third release of the character. Cobra Commander mold gets used one more time (7th time for the body mold, third for the comic pack head), and it's CC's third comic pack figure if you include Fred in armor. They should've either made the battle helmet or made someone else. They didn't do either.

So Cobra Commander.

All the new heads are great, so I went with one that didn't: Scrap Iron.

Hologram Cobra Commander FTW (or maybe FTF)! There's not much you can do with that figure.
