I've seen a couple of people utilize the Snow Bunny Padme figure for female arctic Joe conversions, so my sense of urgency on finishing this custom hasn't been great.

However, now that it's finally finished, I'm pretty pleased with the way it turned out.

I really like that! The color choices are perfect. I really like how you retained the key details that identify her as Scarlet while working in the winter gear elements . Something I typically don't like about Scarlet is that she wears a leotard. And because of that people tend to paint her like a superhero (or jazzercise instructor) - but in your custom Its clearly Scarlet's uniform yet totally leotard free.

WOW. I know you used the Snow Bunny parts on the arms and legs, but I'd swear that torso was molded in white too! What brand of white paint do you use? That's FLAWLESS.

It's a great design... part of me has to chuckle at the idea of the team being handed out their cold weather gear and Scarlett gets her typical spandex suit in white with a little fur..."You gotta be f'in' kidding me... how about a damn parka!?"

You did a wonderful job with the subtle differences in color too... I don't think the figure would look nearly as good without that little details painted to match the color of fur and boots/gloves.

Thanks for all the kind words, guys.

This custom felt like a layup when I was looking at the parts on my desk, so it was hard to get excited about doing it. But, once I started painting, it really grew on me.

The white is a Rustoleum indoor/outdoor formula that I now use pretty exclusively on hard plastic parts like torsos and thighs. It requires about a day's dry time between coats and another ten hours or so before re-assembly, but it gives me the most consistent results and a virtually chip-proof finish.

Color matching the fur for her turtleneck and her boots for the gloves, belt and sheath required mixing up custom batches of my patented Rustoleum and Krylon blend, so those parts had to be painted quickly).

I do think it's kind of funny to see Scarlett looking all svelte in her skier's bodysuit-like attire while Snakes is all toasty in a parka and snow pants. But I figure Hawk runs the Joes like Kirk ran the Enterprise: when it comes to female crew attire, aesthetics always outweigh comfort.

;)

Excellent paint apps. I never think of enviromental customs when I do figures, but those are great.

If you can't find one, Chief, I have an extra. I bought one to use the head for my Oktober Guard Major Ursa Cosmonaut custom...

I saw this earlier and thought it was a really neat take on Scarlett. I thought it was gonna be a straight design from the movie, but I was pleasantly surprised to discover it wasn't.

Kudos on the paint apps.

Very nice, the white turned out great! Nice and clean. She might get a bit cold but small price to pay for looking so good! ;-)
