You might want to hold off on the Hall of Armor stuff until you can design it with these . . .

Image in mind. Not that you couldn't just make a back drop for those down the line though.

Hmm, and that bottom part does say stackable interlocking halls. With that thick base I wonder how these will display though.

Maybe cut a hole in the base piece for those bases to sit in? Though there probably isn't much you can do without having one in hand. They should be hitting relatively soon though, what with the movie only a month away.

You've also got to consider how many folk will buy those and get stuck with a duplicate figure. :-/

Yeah, though I'll probably end up getting a few anyway, despite already having all of those figures.

Here's some actual "Hall of Armor" shelving. The first one is the straight out flat stock design for people that just want to drop their figures on without any problems. The second one, I haven't drilled holes and attached pegs, but you get the idea.

The walls would have 2 pegs mounted that would fit into slots on the base. I'll make templates so that all holes are exact every time. I'd probably have to sell a "kit" that comes with 2 walls and 1 base then sell the walls and bases by themselves so that it would be easy enough to get extra without having too many walls. 2 "kits" would leave you with 1 extra wall. The more "kits" bought would be the more walls not needed.

Also something to note. I made the base units wider than the image on the shelf. The floor circle is exactly the same, but I had to widen the background so that the figure wouldn't be sqeezed inside the walls. It also looks better too anyway.

On the designs, I will probably make those walls taller, the size of the background. These piece were scrap and ended up being shorter than I had intended. I think I may leave it so that it doesn't go all the way out on the floor however as I do think that look is better than shoeboxing it. As a stand alone idea, I do like the height being shorter, but it wouldn't looks as good if they were hung on a wall and stacked.

EDIT: Thought I'd add that marvelousnews.com has added a review for the official Hall of Armor bases coming out. They look ok for bases I guess. They connect together too. Here's the link:

I saw the review for the bases - they look like garbage to me.

Do you know when you'll have these ready to sell, mate?

I'll try and put some work in on getting these up to "production level" over this weekend and maybe have something this week. I just need to make a couple of templates so I can keep every piece exactly the same and every hole drilled exact. Once that's done it'll just be a matter of cutting and gluing.

Man, you don't live far from me at all, I'd enjoy a collaboration maybe at some point, (It's just a thought), as great minds think alike.

Yeah - just noticed your HOA shelves -- I'd definitely be interested in those.

Awesome stuff, Joe :D

Well I got the redesign done like I think it should look. I wrapped the light around on the sides for the divider to give somewhat of a movie look. I'm not wanting it to be a direct movie design, just have sort of a look of it. I think it really makes a nice comics meets movie look now. I'll get these up on the site as soon as possible.

Hmm, that's like 6 - 7 hours. A little bit of a drive.

Ok, here's the Iron Man single units. I redid the dividers like I had mentioned to give more of a light wrap around. I'll have holes drilled and pegs to put the dividers on. I'll have a hole deep enough in each single unit so that the peg can go in and fit flush on the outside of the dividers so that they can be displayed as a stand alone. It'll also have the ability to fit the peg so that it bridges the diver and can fit into 2 single units if more than one is put side by side.

A kit will ship with a single unit, 2 dividers, and 4 pegs. There will be an attached hanger that'll allow these to hang on the wall. The kit will be $6. Each diver will be $2.50 extra and will come with 2 pegs. Each single unit will be $3.50 and will all have a way to hang on the wall.

I'll officially put it up on the site Sunday. If you want to get orders in early go ahead and PM me. I don't know how popular they'll be, but if it ends up with a fair amount of people you'll be able to be higher on the list. An now for the updated pictures:

Of course one divider isn't drilled. I wanted to hurry up and get some shots up and only drilled one.
