Futureshock:2o5o> Mercs...Here's the first actual update to the
Futureshock:2o5o realm.
This is one of Gideon's Mercs, which were the security team hired to protect the XENO science caravans as they researched the Wastelands of Neo-Pan. I have several characters from this part of the theme that have never been posted. I'll try to keep things as orderly as possible, with appropriate headings and such.
Once again, I've utilized some other media to help bring this 'verse to life. I hope you will enjoy...

"Only thing about the metros I miss is the music... I like to snip into the relay sometimes, and just suck some wicked decibels-- some kill box*... soundtrack for the destruction...""Some folk see Hel and tink, 'man, she mus gotta has some kinda feelin's-- pretty girl like dat-- can't be all bad...' Huh, well you sleep next to her den..."--Mose Paine, Merc / Transport Tech
"She's smart enough to be in the Plush workin' for Global Light**, but instead, she's out here in the Bush, where every day is a struggle... Why? 'Cause she's raving mad! That's why..."--Bug Suedo, Merc / Heavy Weapons Specialist
"The other day, somebody on my team came to me and asked me why I keep Hel on, if she's so dangerous and unpredictable... I said, think about it... If she's not on our side... You got it... Hahaha. Yeah, pragmatism's a double-edged somb*tch is it not?" --Vandro Gideon, Merc Team Leader
"...I am thunder and f***ing lightning..."--Hel Kracken, Merc
*Global.Light is the primary Federation power company of Neo-Pan, 2o5o.**"Kill box" is a common Metro slang for Powerkill, a genre of music known for its heavy metal distortion, power riffs and ultra-violent lyrics. It is especially popular with adolescents, particularly in the underprivileged Epsilon Zones of the Federation Metros.Notes: I used a figure from Guru Planet Toys (Annika) as the base body. The head is actually a heavily modified version of the 25th Anni' Pilot Scarlett. Hands are from the MicroMan line, and the feet/boots are from a Star Wars Dark Woman figure, I believe.
Hair and garb is headandhand style, and the rifle is a slightly bashed and modded SW blaster with a
Marauder Gun Runners' Chainsaw Attachment.
Other components have been hodge-podged on from various sources.
Thanks for checking it out, and let me what you think... (And by the way, only the comic pics have been PhotoShopped).
