I saw both of these in the challenge and the Panthro and Tygra look like they could have come from Galoob or somebody very factory looking fabulous work.

This challenge had to be the hardest ever to judge.

As I told you the other day Tim, Panthro almost got my vote in the NJC - it would have been second on my list.

The spikes on Panthro turned out really well. He's a very good figure and would have stood a chance if it were a Panthro challenge.

I actually voted for Tygra. While Mundo's Jackal figure showed off his technical skills better, I was really impressed with how well you captured the character. If they launched a 1/18 line I would hope they look more like this figure.

Mumm Ra was good too, but I agree, he really needed that cape to go head to head against the rest of the competition. Still, you nailed down three great customs for this challenge.

thanks everyone you guys are great, this challenge was more work than the others I have entered but only have 3 times sofar.Mumm ra he took me like 3 days to finish I put alot of time into him and did have a cape but it looked bad Might still get something for him.Tygra was the least work but wish I made a weapon for him maybe too for that.
Panthro is the one I am most pleased with though I think he's perfect actually. Lion-o is in the process of paint apps too bad I don't have a sword though, and cheetara and pumyra are pieced together. I'll add them to this post as they are completed so check back for updates,
thanks again Tim

Panthro was one of my favorites in the NJC - is that a Trigate torso & head, or did you make it yourself?

Tigra was just awesome - my only problems were that his thighs looked too small for his hips, and the toes needed a bit more work (I sculpted the toes on my Mumm-ra, so I know what a huge pain in the ass it is to get it right) - still, really looks great.

And Mumm-ra was just a little too "clean" for me - I think maybe it was the vivid blue flesh that threw me off. I do think it's cool that we both used Budo's helmet for his head - what're the odds of that?

Now I gotta go finish my Panthro...

Cool stuff, Tim!

Yeah I agree with Chief.
I dig all your stuff especially Panthro and the painting of Tygras head.

thanks dan and joey, I was hoping the feet would look better but pretty tough there, tygra does have pretty big hips Which i wish were smaller. Panthro I am 100% happy with and that'll be great to see your take too. Mumm-ra I wish turned out better but I am pretty happy with him besides the lack of a cape.
The Tygra and panthro were the trigate torso and heads as well but mumm ra was pieced together with various parts, and the budo helmet was the perfect helmet to use I thought

I see this comment and raise it: Mumm Ra has a very similar feel.

It's the semi-stylized element that makes them all feel authentic. They feel like toys designed with kid sensibilities but by a very talented/sophisticated artist.

Panthro is my favorite. Great work on the belt logo.
Somehow I like Mumm-Ra's sword. It's one of those ARAH ninja swords that didn't fit most of the figures it came with, but it looks excellent on your custom.
