I really wanted the Oktober Guard to have a small scout vehicle that was actually based on something that was in use by the Soviet Union before its collapse. The process of finding a suitable motorcycle to represent the Ural MW-750 was extremely difficult. I found the Indiana Jones The Last Crusade German motorcycle and remembered that the Ural motorcycle was a reverse engineered BMW motorcycle from the World War II era. I also knew that I wanted my Mongoose to have a side car just like the Ural MW-750. Part of this was so that the Oktober Guard could have a light machine gun on its scout vehicle giving it minor offensive capabilities. I went with a more rugged look for the motorcycle and I thought of it as a hybrid, a classic motorcycl with and advanced engine. I wanted a motorcycle that was capable of traveling over all types of terrain while performing its scout missions. While not an exact replica of the Ural Mw-750 I think this is a very believable motorcycle for the Oktober Guard.

The motorcycle looks great, i likes, what is the side car, from PTE or the Snarler cycle ?

Also really nice paint apps.

This looks like a production piece- solid parts and paint.
Another winner!

Mr Fickens!!!!!

*in the basement of a certain matriarchal house - filled with a smokey haze*

"Woah man...this isn't the Halo Mongoose."

"Oh man...it's all like real miltary and stuff...it would be cool if it had like a BMF cannon on the side or least an M-247."

"I am so pissed! Oh wait...go to wiki and look up the planet Hed PE told us about. And gimme another Twinkie."

That was painful...actually had to look up HALO stuff...Chuck...you suck. It was like you eating salsa...extra chunky.

ooooookay...to the custom. While I would have just said fudge it and bought the smalljoes.com microman one, you actually built this. Kudos! You did a great job and deserve all the praise that a non-figure, non-superhero custom gets these days (thread closes after this comment). Actually it's not that bad...John's Aliens APC is getting lotsa love and deservedly so. It's awesome (I'll log into the back end of the board and cross link this to his thread so I won't have to comment on both - nah, just waiting for it to be done then I will send the love).

Great job! You deserve a great big Kaffy hug for all the work you did. Oh and everyone go by his site and check out the Viper he is working on. It's looking good...
